With the blessings of Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organised a huge blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Pinjore, in which 268 devotees, including 20 women donated blood.
The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Smt. Latika Sharma Ji, Legislator Kalka, who, while addressing the motivated devotees and donors, said that the Nirankari Mission is a leading example in social welfare activities, and contributes via cleanliness drives, plantation drives and blood donation camps. As and when the region feels the need of assistance in social welfare activities, the members of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation and devotees and volunteers of the Mission contribute selflessly and enthusiastically.
Specially present for the occasion, Shri K.K Kashyap Ji, Zonal Incharge, Chandigarh Zone said that this is the year’s second Blood Donation Camp of Chandigarh Zone. He added that the Mission initiated its effort of social welfare through Blood Donation Camps in the year 1986 when Baba Hardev Singh Ji iterated that ‘blood should flow in veins, not in drains’. Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj has taken that message forward, and for three decades now, the Mission has been able to collect several lakhs units of blood through these camps.
This Blood Donation Camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sirat, B.T.O from Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, along with Dr. Gulshan from Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula, with a team of 8 members each.
On this occasion, Mukhi Shri Jagdish Ram Nirankari Ji expressed his gratitude to Smt. Latika Sharma Ji, Shri K.K Kashyap Ji, Zonal Incharge, Chandigarh Zone, Shri Tara Singh Ji Sanyojak Kalka branch, along with the teams of doctors, paramedics, devotees and donors for their contribution towards the successful culmination of the camp.
