350 kids participated in India’s first plastic free kids run 2018 being organised in association with Chandigarh Tourism by “The run Club “
“The run being nation’s first run organised under “Plastic free India campaign”. The kids carried a message for the city residents for avoiding the use of plastic, which is harmful for us and our coming generations,” said Bali, of The Run Club.
The run club organised the plastic free kids run today from Capitol complex .
We have made a conscious effort to not use any plastic in all our arrangements too said Ms Paveela Bali of the club.
More than 350 kids aged 5-16 yrs took part in the event which comprised of 3,5,10 kms distance .
This event was organised in association with Chandigarh Tourism department and Honarable Mayor Davesh moudgil was chief guest and distributed Cash Prize to winners .
Moudgil lauded effort of club and extended whole heartedly support of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation to the club for their future events too.
He further said club is promoting run as well as giving message not to use plastic and preserve environment.

Strawberry Fields School was also awarded Maximum participation award,as 80 students from the school participated in the run.

We are promoting cloth bags and other utility articles made by cloth by economicaly weaker class citizens and all proceeds of bags and other material being showcased at Chandigarh club will go to them only ,added Ms Bali.
