An award function was held at GO’s Mess, Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh to recognize the good work done by Civilians, police officials and Home Guards on the basis of monthly and six monthly performances. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest at the function. Sh. Tajender Singh Luthra, IPS, Director General of Police along with other senior Police Officers were present during the function.

On this occasion, police personnel who retired from police services after attaining the age of superannuation were also honored by the Chief Guest Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator accompanied by Sh. Tajender Singh Luthra, IPS, DGP/UT, Chd, Dr. O.P. Mishra, IPS, DIG/UT, Sh. Shashank Anand, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Security, Ms. Nilambari Jagdale, IPS, SSP/UT, Sh. Eish Singhal, IPS, SP/Head Quarters and Sh. Ravi Kumar, IPS, SP/Operations & Crime, other Police Officers including DSPs and Inspectors were also present at the Function.

The police officers and other officials who retired after attaining the age of superannuation are Insp. (ORP) Ravi Kishor, Insp. (ORP) Jasmit Singh, Insp. (ORP) Satnam Singh, Insp. (ORP) Avjinder Singh, SI Ramesh Kumar, SI (ORP) Inderjit Singh, ASI (ORP) Lajwanti, ASI (ORP) Bikram Singh, HC Jagdish Singh, HC (ORP) Laxman Singh, Constable Amarjit Singh. The families of retired police officers were also invited on this occasion as a Guest of Honor.

Sh. Udeyvir R/o # 18, Ph-3, Mohali (PB): – He played a crucial role to apprehend a motor cyclist culprit who snatched away a bag containing a Camera from a person near Badheri barrier, Chandigarh. In this regard a case FIR No. 34 dated 21.01.2018 u/s 356, 379 IPC, was registered at PS-39, Chandigar
