Chandigarh Traffic Police organized a Declamation Contest for school students

Today, on 23.04.2018, Chandigarh Traffic Police organized a Declamation Contest for school students as part of Road Safety Week – 2018. Dr. O.P.Mishra, DIGP/UT, Chandigarh was present as Chief Guest at the contest. Three Judges namely Sh. Harman Sidhu, NGO Arrive Safe, Mrs. Navita Singh, Rtd. Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court and Sh. Kishie Singh, Renowned Journalist & Motorist were appointed for the contest. Approximately 400-500 students from various Govt & private schools participated in the contest. Result of the declamation contest declared by the judges is as follows:

1st position – Vaideli – AKIPS Sector-41

2nd position – Harnoor Gill- Carmel Convent School, Sector-9

3rd position – Aparjita –  Bhawan Vidayalaya, Sector-27

Besides this traffic awareness lectures and distribution of road safety pamphlets conducted in various schools and colleges. Key rings and stickers distributed to good drivers, not to drink and drive awareness conducted at different traffic points. Also a skit on road safety played at Plaza, Sector-17 as part of Road Safety Week -2018.
