GGDSD College Kheri Gurna Conducts a Workshop in collaboration with Cooperative Societies, Punjab Govt.
A thirty day “Skill Development Workshop” which is being organised by the Heritage, History and Culture Society of G.G.D.S.D. College Kheri Gurna. (Banur) in collaboration with the Dept of Cooperation, Punjab Govt., was inaugurated today in the College Campus by Principal of the college Dr S.K. Baria. Around 60 students of the college are participating in the workshop.
The participants will be given training in sewing, embroidery, fabric painting, punjabi jutti making, tie and dye, bangle making etc. The college is the first and the only college in Punjab to take this unique initiative. The objective of the workshop is to enable the students to exhibit their talents, to earn money by selling their products and to make them successful entrepreneur in life. Principal Dr. Baria exhorted the participants to take full advantage of the workshop by learning the various skills with passion and enthusiasm. Dr Lakhwinder Kaur is the coordinator of this workshop.
