Satluj Rock Show Galactica brings alive the spirit of music: Soaring Eagles Band of Chandigarh bagged the first prize at Galactica, 19th annual Satluj Rock Show held here at Satluj Public School in Sector 4. Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula organised the rock concert in which ten rock bands from tricity participated in the event.
First Runners-Up Band was Teenage Core. while Second Runners-Up Bands were Elysium and The Psychics.
The participating school bands were Soaring Eagles (St. John’s High School, Chandigarh); The Psychics (Satluj Public School, Panchkula); Doon Rockers (Doon International School, Mohali); Agni Band (Saupins School, Mohali); Nazrat (Ankur School, Chandigarh); Teenage Core (Shemrock School, Mohali) and Elysium (Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh).
In individual categories the winners were Teenage Core and Elysium for Best Vocalist; Elysium for Best Keyboard Player; Elysium for Best Drummer while Best Guitarist was bagged by Soaring Eagles.
Prizes were awarded in different categories by the Director Principal, Krit Serai along with other special guests. Special guests were RJ Golmal Gagan, Amrinder Amry, singer; and Mr Sanjay Bhatt and Mr Manish Singh of Rudraksh Band.
Reekrit Serai, Managing Director, Satluj Group of Schools, said, “19th Galactica—Satluj Rock Show was a platform to encourage Rock Music and give an opportunity to youngsters to showcase their talent. This is the first school in the tricity to ever organize a Rock Show.”
