Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 23.03.2018. Accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Action against Gambling
Chandigarh Police arrested (1) Sanjay R/o # 584, Village Burail, Chandigarh, Pitamber Bhatt R/o # 1249, Saini Vihar, Baltana, (3) Rinku R/o # 1037, Phase-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and (4) Rohit R/o # 60, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Mandir, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 25,200/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 126, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. All accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for Snatching
A lady resident of Sector-20, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person snatched away her purse containing cash Rs. 5000/-, mobile phone and documents near Dispensary, Sector 20, Chandigarh on 23.03.2018. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Nekpal R/o # 25, Village Burail, Chandigarh age about 19 years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Two apprehended for Robbery
A lady resident of EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that two boys robbed away her purse containing cash Rs. 150/-, mobile phone & documents near EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 23-03-2018. A case FIR No. 64, U/S 392, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later two juveniles have been apprehended in this case. Both sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for theft
Sh. Dalip Kumar R/o # 923, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away one mobile phone from his residence. A case FIR No. 125, U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Surdeep R/o # 788, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Burglary
Sh. Gajender Bahuguna R/o SD Mandir, Sector-16-D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away gold & silver ornaments and cash Rs. 40,000/- from Mandir on 23.03.2018. A case FIR No. 83, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 62, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the statement of Sh. Dinesh Kumar R/o # 2639, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh against driver of car No. HR-3NQ-6519 namely Vimal Verma R/o # 210, Sec-4, MDC, Panchkula (HR) who hit to a cyclist namely Lalji R/o # 3158, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh at Shastri Nagar light point, Chandigarh on 22.03.2018. Cyclist got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 49, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Surinder R/o # 173, Village Nandyali, Distt. Mohali (PB) against driver of Pulsar M/Cycle No. CH-01AF-9992 namely Mahesh R/o Village Kandala, Distt. Mohali (PB) who hit to a complainant’s father Sh. Roshan while he was driving CT-100 M/Cycle No. HR-99ACP(T)-1252 near Faidan Barrier, Chandigarh on 23.03.2018. Complainant’s father got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
