Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to attentively listen to public grievances and address them in a timely manner. He said that if officials proactively take note of people’s concerns, their resolution can be expedited effectively.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while chairing the meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram on Wednesday. The meeting was also attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma.

During the meeting, 19 complaints were placed, of which the Chief Minister resolved 18 on the spot. He instructed that one case be kept pending until the next meeting, directing the concerned officials to present a status report at that time. He stressed that citizens should not encounter any inconvenience and called for special attention to cleanliness in the city, aiming to make Gurugram clean and beautiful.

Before the meeting, the Chief Minister observed a two-minute silence in tribute to the victims of the tragic terrorist attack that took place a day earlier in Jammu and Kashmir.

There should be no shortage of resources in the city’s development

The Chief Minister, while directing the Municipal Commissioner to recruit additional manpower through HKRNL for the lifting of construction and waste material at Laser Valley Ground in Sector 29, as well as for door-to-door garbage collection, said that making Gurugram a clean, beautiful, and well-organized city is a top priority for the government. He said that there should be no shortage of resources in achieving these developmental goals.

Instructions to take action against Executive Engineer over sewer overflow issue

During the meeting, the The Chief Minister announced Rs 21 lakh for development work in the stadiumChief Minister directed officials to take action against the Executive Engineer of the Municipal Corporation for failing to address the issue of sewer overflow and for not taking appropriate measures against the industrial units responsible for the problem in Begumpur Khatola village. He said that the officers should change their working style of resolving the grievances of public or else be ready for action. The Chief Minister instructed corporation officials to resolve the issue within three weeks and to submit updated photographs of the affected area to his office.

FIR to be registered against buyer and seller over encroachment on elderly man’s land in village Kadarpur

During the meeting, an elderly complainant from village Kadarpur reported that his brother had sold his share of their ancestral land, but his own portion was illegally encroached upon in collusion with the buyer. Despite repeated appeals, no action had been taken by the concerned authorities. Taking serious note of the complaint, the Chief Minister directed police officials to register an FIR against both the buyer and the seller. He also instructed the concerned Tehsildar to expedite revenue-related proceedings. In response to another complaint from a farmer in the Sohna area, who reported illegal encroachment involving the demolition of a room constructed in his field, the Chief Minister ordered the SDM to ensure the restoration of possession within 10 days and to take strict action against any officials found negligent in the investigation.

Chief Minister directs cleaning of all 404 rainwater harvesting systems in Gurugram before Monsoon

Responding to complaints of waterlogging and poor maintenance of rainwater harvesting systems in Gurugram, the Chief Minister directed the concerned department to ensure that all 404 rainwater harvesting units in the district are thoroughly cleaned before the onset of the monsoon. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also set a deadline before the next review meeting for the completion of development works related to Sector 4. Additionally, addressing a complaint from the Sarpanch of village Mubarakpur regarding the lack of an electricity connection to the village water works for over a year, Deputy Commissioner was instructed to personally investigate the issue and take strict action against the officials found negligent.

State-Level Gram Utthan Sammelan to be held in Panchkula today

Social Security pension to be extended to 41,591 new beneficiaries

The Haryana Government will organize a State-Level Gram Utthan Sammelan at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula, on April 24, 2025, coinciding with National Panchayati Raj Day. The event aims to strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions and promote public welfare across the state.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate the Sammelan as the Chief Guest, while Development and Panchayats Minister Sh Krishan Lal Panwar will preside over the event.

This Sammelan holds special significance. In addition to providing key insights into the functioning of Panchayats, fund utilization, and real-time monitoring of development projects, the beneficiaries of the Social Security Pension Scheme will also get a big gift. As part of the ongoing commitment to social welfare, social security pensions will be distributed by the Chief Minister to 41,591 new beneficiaries identified in the month of March. This initiative is a major step towards expanding the coverage of social security for eligible citizens in the state.

Currently, the Haryana Government is disbursing pension and financial assistance to 34,95,507 beneficiaries under various social welfare schemes. These benefits are directly transferred into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the PFMS, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

Significant participation of women Panchayat representatives will become a symbol of empowerment

This event will prove to be a decisive step towards promoting rural development, administrative efficiency and transparency. Thousands of Panchayati Raj representatives from across the state will participate in this Sammelan, in which special and remarkable participation of women representatives will be seen. This will serve as a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment.

The objective of this Sammelan is not only to strengthen the Panchayati Raj institutions, but also to make the public representatives across the state, especially women representatives, more effective and self-reliant by giving them detailed information about their rights, duties and schemes. This initiative will mark a significant milestone in enhancing the decision-making capabilities of the Panchayats.

Health Minister Arti Singh Rao Conducts Surprise Inspection at Civil Hospital in Yamunanagar

Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Arti Singh Rao conducted a surprise inspection of the Civil Hospital, Yamunanagar, on Wednesday. During the surprise inspection, the Health Minister obtained information from the Civil Surgeon about the medical facilities being provided to the patients in the hospital, availability of medicines, the staff present there, available equipment, and other arrangements.

The Health Minister also talked to the patients and obtained information from them about the medical facilities being provided there. She said the patients coming here are satisfied with the facilities being provided in the hospital and they are being provided proper treatment, medicines, tests and other facilities.

The Health Minister conducted a surprise inspection of almost all the departments, including Trauma Centre, Gynaecology Department, Pediatrics Department, Delivery Room, Women Surgical Ward, ICU, Private Ward, Blood Bank, Special Newborn Care Unit, ANL Room, Mental Health and De-Addiction Programme and Panchkarma Medical System. She also checked the attendance registers of all the departments of the hospital and got information about the doctors and staff present.

Responding to questions of journalists, Arti Singh Rao said under the guidance of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, 561 doctors have been recruited in the state, out of which 12 doctors have been posted in Yamunanagar. She said 777 new doctors will be recruited in the state soon. She said the main purpose of conducting such surprise inspections is to reach the ground and find out the reality of any deficiencies or requirements there are so that they can be worked upon properly. Regarding the cleanliness of the toilets, she said attention needs to be paid to this and a report has been sought in this regard. On the question of falling tiles of the hospital building, the Health Minister spoke to the Superintendent Engineer of the Public Works Department on call and gave instructions to carry out repairs immediately and also complete the work of the Trauma Centre soon. She said more security guards will be hired soon for the safety of women.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal said that any person can fill Form 6 to get their name registered to the voter list of their Assembly constituency. Similarly, If any voter wants to remove their own name or the name of any ineligible person from the voter list, they can apply using Form 7. Application can be made in Form No. 8 for amendment in the details already entered in the voter list and in case of transfer.

He also said that after the Haryana Legislative Assembly General Election 2024, a total of 4,60,388 new voters have been added to the photo voter list till April 21, 2025. Also, 94,429 names have been removed from the list due to reasons like transfer, death etc.

Sh. Agarwal said that anyone can file an appeal within 15 days against the decision made by the Electoral Registration Officer on Form 6, 7, or 8. In Haryana state, no first appeal has been received by the Deputy Commissioner under Section 24 ‘A’ of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 and no second appeal has been received by the Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana under Section 24 ‘B’ of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 in relation to the decision taken on Form No. 6, 7, 8.

 Also inspects Haryana’s first ‘Complete Streets’ Project

Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He  said that the nation stands united in these challenging times and will neither fear nor yield to terrorism. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the civilians who lost their lives in the attack and expressed his deepest condolences to their families. He described the incident as a cowardly act that claimed the lives of innocent people. He said that the sacrifice of the people will always be remembered and assured their families of the government’s support.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also spoke with the family of Sh Vinay Narwal, who lost his life in the Pahalgam attack. He offered his condolences and reassured them that the Haryana government stands firmly with them in their time of grief.

Later, the Chief Minister inspected Haryana’s first ‘Complete Streets’ initiative, walking through the site in Udyog Vihar Sector-18, Gurugram. He remarked that the ‘Complete Streets’ concept reflects the state government’s commitment that every section be it child, elderly, woman or Divyang, should get the right to walk safely and with dignity.

He said that the government’s focus is not limited to infrastructure development, but extends to human well-being. “Walking, cycling, or taking the bus in Gurugram will no longer be just a necessity—it will be a pleasant experience,” he said. He highlighted that this project demonstrates the transformative potential of collaboration among the government, private sector, and civil society. The ‘Complete Streets’ model, he added, will serve as an example not only for Haryana but for the entire country.

The project has been implemented along Sanath Road and Gali No. 7 in Udyog Vihar, covering a stretch of 2.4 kilometers with a width of 30 meters. This road connects Old Delhi Road to the Airtel office on NH 48. The total project cost was approximately Rs 23 crore, jointly funded by GMDA, MCG, DHBVN, and the Raahgiri Foundation. Private partners such as Nagarro, Maruti Suzuki, and SafeExpress also contributed, setting a remarkable precedent for public-private partnership.

Key features of the project include wide and shaded footpaths for pedestrians, safe track for cyclists, bioswales for rainwater harvesting, and the preservation of 700 mature trees. In addition, over 20,000 flowering plants have been planted. To ensure safety, four trained street marshals have been deployed around the clock. This model is set to become an inspiration for cities across Haryana and the rest of India.

 GMDA is now planning to redevelop an additional 100 kilometers of roads based on the ‘Complete Streets’ model over the next two years

Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh emphasized the importance of avoiding polythene use and encouraged people to carry reusable bags while shopping. He highlighted that tree plantation is a powerful and positive step, not only does it help purify the environment, but it also lays the foundation for a healthier future for coming generations. He suggested that planting a tree in place of giving traditional gifts on birthdays, wedding anniversaries, or other special occasions and encouraging others to do the same can be a meaningful and impactful initiative.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini pays tribute to late Osamu Suzuki, former global Chairman of Suzuki Motors

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday visited Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, Delhi, to pay tribute to the late Osamu Suzuki, former Global Chairman of Suzuki Motors. Osamu Suzuki passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 95. A prayer meeting was held at the Yashobhoomi convention center in Dwarka to honor his memory.

The Chief Minister offered floral tributes to a portrait of the late Osamu Suzuki and prayed for the peace of his soul. He also interacted with members of Suzuki Motors’ management and later visited an exhibition showcasing the remarkable life journey of late Osamu Suzuki.

The prayer meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including T. Suzuki, Global President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, and R.C. Bhargava, Chairman of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

Licence of Sonipat doctor cancelled for violating PC & PNDT Act

 State Task Force meeting held under chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary-Health

A State Task force (STF) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal to review the action taken on last meeting decisions and further steps to be taken for improvement in sex ratio in the state.

Dr Kuldeep Singh, Director General Health Services (DGHS), Haryana, briefed that data for village wise sex ratio (from 2019 to March 2025) has been compiled and special focus will be given on villages with low sex ratio.

 Dr. Virender Yadav, convener of the STF, said, “Sex ratio of the state up to April 22, 2025 is 911 as per Civil Registration System (CRS) portal. Licence of one BAMS doctor of Sonipat district who was found violating PC & PNDT Act and MTP Act has been cancelled by Council of Indian Medicine, Haryana. Out of total 1500 MTP Centres in the state, 379 MTP centres have been closed and registration of 16 MTP centers has been suspended in the last one month. There is decline trend in sale of MTP Kit in Haryana.”

  Dr. Virender Yadav further said, “Drug Control Officer (DCO) of Sonipat has been issued a show cause notice for unverified/ incomplete report and not ensuring that MTP kits are to be sold in MTP centres of Haryana. Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) to be done only after approval of competent authority and outcome of each In vitro Fertilization (IVF) intervention to be shared with concerned Civil Surgeon on a monthly basis. Districts have been allocated to all the officers of State Drug Controller Office posted at the state headquarters and they will do field visits to prevent unauthorized/illegal sale of MTP kits.  Sale of MTP kits to be cross checked by DCOs. Nomination of members in STF will be by name only to ensure that same person attends the STF meeting every Tuesday.”

All Civil Surgeons will monitor sale of MTP Kits in their districts. Special Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (B3P) camps will be organized by Senior Medical Officer (SMO) in charge of concerned Community Health Centres (CHC) with Programme Officer (PO), WCD on April 25, 2025 in villages with sex ratio less than 700. All Directors from DGHS office will attend these camps in their allocated districts and will cover at least two villages, he added.

Dr Simmi Verma, DHS, PNDT, Civil Surgeon, Panchkula, representatives from Police Department, Prosecution Department, Women and Child Development (WCD) Department and Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and other senior officers were present in the meeting.

Haryana Government hikes Dearness Allowance to 55%

 New Dearness Allowance rates will be effective from January 1, 2025

The Haryana Government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief from 53% to 55% for its employees and pensioners. These revised rates will be effective from January 1, 2025.

According to an order issued by the Finance Department, the revised Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief will be given with the salary/pension of April 2025. At the same time, the arrears for the period from January 2025 to March 2025 will be paid in May 2025.
