Chandigarh, Royal Titans registered a thrilling seven-run victory over Tricity Bashers in the OMAXE Chandigarh Premier League match played at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula on Monday. After winning the toss, Titans elected to bat first and posted an impressive total of 190 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sanchit Sahu played an explosive knock of 43 runs off just 20 balls while Abhimanyu scored a composed 46 runs from 31 deliveries. Gurneet Singh added 31 runs at the top, helping the team maintain momentum throughout the innings.For Tricity Bashers, Gaganpreet Singh (3/32) was pick of the bowlers. Chasing a target of 191, Tricity Bashers fought hard but fell short, finishing at 183 for six in their 20 overs. Captain Devang Kaushik led the charge with an aggressive 48 off 29 balls while Taranpreet Singh played a crucial innings of 45 runs from just 22 deliveries. Hardik Chowdhry remained unbeaten on 32 runs. Royal Titans bowlers kept their composure during the crucial stages of the chase. Amrit Lal Lubana delivered a match-winning spell, taking two wickets for 25 runs, while Mohit Soni and Ivraj Ranauta chipped in with one wicket each. Earlier, heavy rain played spoilsport during the Sunday night match between Chandigarh Kings and Rock Garden Warriors, forcing officials to revise the contest under the VJD method. Batting first, Chandigarh Kings produced a sensational batting display to post a massive 259 for 5 in 20 overs with top scorer skipper Shivam Bhambri (171 off 63 balls) He received valuable support from Bhagmender Lather (25) and Harish Kumar (12 off 3 balls) as the Kings registered one of the highest totals of the tournament. With rain, the target was revised for Warriors and they responded aggressively, with Aarush Bhandari scoring 44 off 14 balls and Prashant Ahlawat remaining unbeaten on 72 off 25 deliveries. After the match was reduced to 11 overs under the VJD method, Rock Garden Warriors reached 168 for 3 in 11.4 overs to secure a 22-run victory.
