Three-Day 41st Chandigarh Sangeet Sammelan ends on a memorable note: It was a vibrant and melodious musical treat for classical music lovers at Strawberry Field High School, Sector 26 auditorium here today on the last day of three-day 41st Annual Chandigarh Sangeet Sammelan conducted by Indian National Theatre in collaboration with Durga Das Foundation and Sangeet Natak Academy .
On the last day Vidushi Jyoti Hegde gave a delightful performance on the Rudra Veena.
Vidushi Jyoti Hegde started her performance with Raag Nat Bhairav, containing the components of alap, jod, jhala followed by bandish set in Chautal. She continued with Rag Bhindravani sarang containing alap in teen tal.
She was accompanied on the Pakhawaj by the renowned Pt. Dal chand Sharma
Vidhushi Jyoti Hegde is the first and only woman player of Rudra Veena in the world. She is an accomplished Rudraveena and Sitar artiste from Khandarbani Gharana.

Rudra veena is a world heritage instrument protected and promoted by the UNESCO. She is a Grade-A artist of Rudra Veena and Sitar with the All India Radio and regularly sought after for concerts.
