Chandigarh, UT girls delivered a commanding performance against Bihar at the ongoing Women’s Under-23 One Day Trophy to secure a 155-run emphatic win at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium on Friday.
After electing to bat first, Chandigarh posted a strong total of 236/5 in their allotted 50 overs wherein skipper Aaradhana Bisht led from the front with an unbeaten knock of 110 off 113 balls, including 12 boundaries and a six. She was well supported by wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Mahajan who contributed a crucial 77 off 123 balls. The duo’s partnership laid a solid foundation for Chandigarh’s innings.
In response, Bihar struggled to counter Chandigarh’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for just 81 in 38.1 overs. Pushpa Bishnoi (4/18) and Nandani Sharma (3/10) spearheaded the bowling campaign.
This is the second consecutive win for UT girls as the team is scheduled to play their third game against Madhya Pradesh on March 9.
