The Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented Prime Minister Award to the officers of Indian Administrative services for their yeoman services to the humanity, including jalaj Sharma collector of Nashik on the17th Civil Services Day at a function which was held at Vigyan Bhawan Dehli today.
While addressing the the recipient of Prestagious Prime Minister award, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhorted the civil servants to work with honesty, disciplined and dedication to visualise the dreams of great Leader Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel. He reminded that some days ago,he had said from the Red Fort Dehli , that India should prepare a vison having next 1000 years plan. to make India a strong nation in the world. He said that the present government was working on a new vision ,keeping in view the next 1000 years plan. He maintained that the world was changing rapidly, similarly the Gazette were also changing within two or three years. He exhorted the civil servants that they could cannot achieve their aim, by sitting ideal or on the basis of luck. He suggested that we had to work jointly with firm zeal and dedication to achieve our target ahead to make India a strong country in the world. He maintained that India could not work by opting old policies ,while making schemes , similarly ,India could not depend on old views of civil servants and they had to change their perception.He maintained that the policies of the country had completely changed after 1947 and which had changed in the scenario of the country today.

He said that the aspirational society, youth, women and farmers of the country had made unmatchable progress and joint efforts should be made by them to achieve the highest target in the field of energy security,clean energy, sports and space. He said that the civil servants are the creator of the country and they should help the poor people of the especially. Keeping in view in their mind,Nagrik Dev Bhav instead of Atithi Dev Bhav.
The prestagious Award was given to jalaj Sharma for the successfuly implementation officer the schemes initiatives in Nashik district ,under the category of holistic development of the districts, which has been awarded the Prime Minister award of excellence to him in public administration for 2023.
Jalaj Sharma a 2014 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre , basically hails from Haryana ,Chandigarh and he had got his schooling from St Anne’s convent,High school Chandigarh and his father Ram Bhagat Sharma had retired as Additional Director from Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs department, Haryana. Jalaj Sharma maintained that Government of India has instituted Prime Minister awards, excellence in public administration to acknowledge and recognize and reward for exemplary works done by civil servants accross the country.
Jalaj Sharma maintained that the Prime Minister awards to be given to those officers of Indian Adminstrative Services officers for their outstanding performances in recognition of their utmost contribution in various fields and jalaj had also got the award in implementation of initiative in Nashik District :under the category of Holistic development of the districts.He asserted that he would serve the people with same zeal and dedication in future also.He express gratitude towards the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognition of the services of the officers of Indian Administrative Services in various fields.
Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, while giving congratulations to Jalaj Sharma for getting this prestigious award, maintained that he had got this national level achievement due to his positive attitude, sincerity and dedication towards the work assigned to him and initiative taken by him for the holistic development of Nashik City of Lord Shiva were also praise worthy. Nashik city is also known as Lord Shiva Nagri, where people from all over India and abroad visit Trimbkeshwar jyotirlinga to pay their offerings to Lord Shiva.
Former Chief Secretary and Chairman of Haryana Power Generation Corporation limited, Sanjeev kaushal maintained that jalaj Sharma used to come to me for seeking my advise oftenally and he had advised, jalaj Sharma to work with sincerity and dedication without any discrimination to provide succour to the people of the respective areas.
He said that efforts would be made to make Maha Kumbh 2027 as remarkable with the involvement of the people of holy city Nashik. The Mahakumbh world be organised in Nashik in August 2027,he added.He reminded that,he had also got a best state level collector award ,namely Rajiv Gandhi Administrative acceleration award while working as district collector Dhule.
It may be recalled,that the father of jalaj Sharma, Ram Bhagat Sharma had retired as Additional Director,from the Information Public Relations and Cultural Affairs department Haryana, Chandigarh and his mother Roopa Rani Sharma had also retired as Architect from Architecture Department, Haryana. They expressed happiness for getting this prestigious award by his son and hope that he would work tirelessly in future also to implement the schemes envisaged by the government,meant for the benefit of the people.
