Jugnoo celebrates Earth Day this year by organizing an unprecedented event for people to get involved in ‘Earth Day Awareness Run’ in partnership with Treezing, an organization focused on creating environment awareness, in Chandigarh on April 22, 2017. This is a one of kind initiative in India to celebrate the Earth Day that aims to create social and environmental consciousness among the people.
The event will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, at Sukhna Lake. Participants can opt for a 2 Km or 5 Km run. Jugnoo is also running a campaign for ‘Tree plantation’ by selling Eco-friendly T Shirts and against every T-shirt sold, a tree will be planted. The participants will be given a certificate and geo-tracking code of the tree planted on behalf of them.
Speaking about the event and association, Jugnoo spokesperson, said “Given the rise in pollution levels and global warming, Jugnoo aims to drive an awareness campaign and gather as much support as possible from the residents of Chandigarh for its initiative towards preservation of environment. We are pleased to have associated with Treezing for this unique initiative that is being done for the first time in India. We encourage everyone from all walks of life to participate in the event and make it a huge success.”
