An Academy for Classical Dance and Music celebrated its 13th Annual Function with great enthusiasm and dignity at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16. On this occasion, the academy’s students presented a variety of classical dance performances, beautifully reflecting their discipline and dedicated training.

The event was sponsored by Anu Sharma, Founder, Editor of Chandigarhcitynews.com and Guest of honour of event, who has been an active supporter of cultural programmes in the region for many years.

One of the most captivating segments of the evening was the Kathak performance, choreographed by Archita Palit. Archita Palit has been serving as a Kathak instructor at Kalibari, Chandigarh since 2007. She performed on stage along with her students, receiving warm appreciation from the audience for her expressive style and impressive stage presence.

On this occasion, Nrityayatan Academy also presented a performance based on the five elements of nature, as well as a staged production of Rabindranath Tagore’s renowned play ‘Chandalika’, both of which left a deep impact on the audience.

A total of 42 participants took part in the event. The celebration not only highlighted the academy’s commitment to preserving classical traditions but also provided a meaningful platform for young artists to showcase their talent.
