The second day of the most awaited annual event of the city beautiful, the Chandigarh Carnival 2017 surprised everyone with incredible footfall and stunning response. Sh. Maninder Singh, IAS, Chairman, Chandigarh Housing Board was the chief guest, whereas Sh. Satyajeet Rajan, IAS, Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India was the special guest on the three day extravaganza themed  INDRADHANUSH (Colour your life like a Rainbow)

Dr. Anshul Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, the education partner of this grand event was also present on this occasion. The group is giving a chance to the visitors to participate in the daily draw, get lucky and win Tabs, Laptops and many more exciting prizes. To be a part of the lucky draw, visitors have to simply download the Swachhata-MoHUA App and register themselves.  

Another attractive element of the Carnival was the beautiful and creative floats designed & formulated by the students of Arts College, Chandigarh. These floats based on varied themes are decorated with colorful papers in the shape of cartoon characters.  Car lovers enjoyed the Vintage car display at the Government Museum & Art Gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh.

The Chandigarh Carnival 2017 consist of stalls exhibited by various academies, NGO’s & Govt. Departments who have displayed various art & craft in different stalls, day long Cultural Programmes by various artists/performer, Amusement Park, Joy rides & Camel Rides for kids, along with various fun & frolic activities & Cartoon characters during the event. To satiate the appetite of food lovers, food Stalls have been installed by CIHM, AIHM, CITCO Da Vehra and much more.

The second day of the Grand Carnival 2017 witnessed a Punjabi Musical Nite LIVE by Sharry Mann, the music sensation of Punjab who performed on the popular tracks like Yaar Anmule, Cute Munda and Chandigarh Waliye. The talented artist has been made the Brand Ambassador of Swachhata drive started by the Municpal Corporation, Chandigarh. He has urged his fans and citizens of Chandigarh to download the Swachhata-MoHUA app and contribute their bit towards making the City clean.

The Grand Carnival aims at providing a common platform to the residents, wherein they can come and share their talent with the masses. All the three days of the Carnival are well planned and packed with numerous activities. Competitions and events for every generation and taste of people are framed, so that everybody gets a chance to showcase their talent.
