SSSTik is a free TikTok Downloader that works in your web browser. You paste a video link, and it gives you a direct link to a watermark-free version of the video from TikTok, if one is available. There is no app to install and no account to create. You can save TikTok videos on a phone, tablet or computer in about a minute.
What SSSTik does and does not do
SSSTik does not edit a file or remove the TikTok watermark itself. It finds the watermark-free version that TikTok already has for the post and gives you a link to download it. That’s why the result looks clean and not cropped or blurred where a logo used to be.
Downloads are usually MP4 files, which most phones, computers and video players can open. The file can’t be better than the original upload. If the creator posted in HD, you can download HD. If not, you get the best version TikTok has.
You can start a tiktok download from any modern browser. No extensions or extra software are needed.
How to use the TikTok Downloader in 3 steps
- Copy the link. In the TikTok app, open the video, tap Share and choose Copy link. On a computer, copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.
- Paste the link. Open SSSTik, paste the URL into the input field and tap the download button.
- Download the file. Pick the available MP4 option. The video goes to your default download folder or to the location set in your browser settings.
On Android, videos usually go to the Downloads folder. On iPhone and iPad, Safari saves files to the Downloads folder in the Files app. You can move a video to your photo library from there.
Download TikTok stories too
SSSTik also works for TikTok stories. Stories disappear from the platform after 24 hours, so save one while it’s still live. Copy the story link and paste it into SSSTik the same way you would for a regular video. The same limits apply: only content that is currently available can be downloaded.
Why people download TikTok videos
Common reasons to download TikTok videos include:
- Watching offline on a flight or when mobile data is limited
- Keeping a backup of videos you made yourself
- Saving tutorials for teaching or learning
- Archiving news clips or examples for research
- Keeping a copy of a moment before the post is deleted or the account goes private
Timing matters in that last case. SSSTik can only get content that is public and still online. It can’t recover videos that were deleted, removed from the platform or made private.

If a download doesn’t work
Most failed downloads come from the link or the post, not your device. Try these checks:
- Make sure you copied the full URL, not just part of it.
- Open the link in TikTok to make sure the post is still public and available.
- Refresh the SSSTik page and paste the link again.
- If a story won’t download, check whether its 24-hour window has already ended.
Use saved videos responsibly
A TikTok video belongs to the person who made it. Keep downloaded videos for personal viewing, study or your own archive. If you want to share someone else’s clip, ask the creator first and give them clear credit. Don’t re-upload other people’s work as your own.
