A warm and vibrant farewell was accorded to the outgoing Class XII students by the students of Class XI at IS Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21C, Chandigarh. The celebration – ‘Udaari’, marked the culmination of a memorable school journey for the seniors as they prepare to step into a new phase of life.
School Principal, Dr. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat, congratulated the students and staff for organizing a successful event. Addressing the outgoing batch, she said, “Do stay grounded and true to your values and try to attain great heights as you embark on your higher education & career journey.” She also impressed upon the students to carry forward the spirit of Dev Samaj wherever life takes them.
One of the highlights of the event was the ramp walk, where Class XII students showcased their confidence and style. In the girls’ category, Hanshika, Tamanna, and Gracy Verma were crowned Ms Dev Samaj, Ms Charming, and Ms Talented respectively. In the boys’ category, Vivek Sonkar, Pranav Vohra, and Vaidik Kumar won the titles of Mr Dev Samaj, Mr Personality, and Mr Talented.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Mrs. Jaspal Kaur, Manager, Ishwar Singh Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21, Chandigarh, inspired the students to uphold the morals and ethics of the Dev Samaj in their future endeavors. Mrs. Shefali Cheema, Assistant Professor, Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36, Chandigarh, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The farewell function was a colourful blend of emotions, talent, and joy. Students mesmerized the audience with captivating dance performances, soulful musical renditions, and thought-provoking self-composed poetry, celebrating the bonds and memories shared over the years. The programme concluded on a cheerful note with a fun-filled lunch party, giving students an opportunity to relax, bond, and create memories they will cherish for years to come.
