Amritsar: BJP leader Akshay Sharma from Amritsar North constituency warmly welcomed the seven Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, calling it a step that strengthens politics focused on public welfare, development, and national interest.
He stated that the decision of these leaders to join the BJP reflects a growing inclination among committed individuals toward a development-oriented ideology for the betterment of the country and Punjab.
He added that this political shift has also exposed the misgovernance and self-serving politics of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Akshay Sharma said that these MPs have, at the right time, chosen a political ideology that prioritizes national interest, good governance, and development. He emphasized that the BJP has emerged as the most trusted political force in the country, consistently working for the welfare of every section of society under its leadership.
He further stated that the people of Punjab are now looking toward a new direction and strong leadership.
The inclusion of these Rajya Sabha MPs in the BJP further strengthens that belief. He added that when public interest is not given priority, sincere and responsible individuals opt for better alternatives, and this decision reflects that very mindset.
Sharma also highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has set new benchmarks in development, security, and governance. As a result, people from various sectors are getting influenced by BJP’s policies and ideology and are joining the party.
He expressed confidence that in the upcoming 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, the people of the state will support development, transparency, and public service. Under BJP’s leadership, the state will witness accelerated progress in employment, farmers’ welfare, law and order, and infrastructure development.
