He explained his stance with an analogy that “You (Muslim brothers) are living in Hindustan. If it is raining outside, those who do not wish to get wet stay inside their homes. Similarly, I do not play Holi; I stay at home. But if someone steps outside, their clothes are bound to get a little wet, and they must endure it.”

Responding to a question about the BJP’s landslide victory in municipal elections and Congress’s just open its account, Vij said that “The Congress party no longer exists, not just in Haryana, but in the entire country. Wherever elections are being held, the BJP is winning because Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the direction and nature of politics.”
“It has been 70 years since the country gained independence; now, people want development.” – Vij
He further said that “For the first 50 years, politics was filled with lies, deception and fraud. But since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took charge, he has shifted the focus towards development. Under his leadership, state governments are also prioritizing development at the local level. That is why people now support the development agenda.” He said that “It has been 70 years since independence, and now people want progress. They want to move beyond these old issues because they have lived a life of deprivation for 50 years, he added.”

He said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. This can only be achieved if development takes place at all levels—from municipal bodies to the state level and from the state level to the national level. That is why people have now accepted the BJP.” He added that “The Congress strongholds, such as those of Mr. Hooda and Ms. Shelja, have collapsed. Now, nothing remains—only the BJP stands strong, he emphasized.”

When asked about the BJP’s overwhelming victory in Ambala Cantonment during the municipal elections, Vij said that “The people of Ambala Cantonment are with us. They have given BJP victory in 25 out of 32 seats.” He further commented that “If there had been no political engineering in the assembly elections, the people would have given them (opponents) a fitting response in that election as well. Those who used to wander aimlessly should now understand where the people of Ambala stand, he asserted.”
