A Yoga Protocol Training Camp, jointly organized by the Haryana Yog Aayog, Haryana Legislative Assembly, and AYUSH Department, was successfully held today at the Haryana Legislative Assembly premises. The training, in preparation for International Yoga Day 2025, included 15 Haryana MLAs and a number of Assembly officers and employees. Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini attended the programme as the chief guest. Cabinet Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma and Deputy Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly Sh. Krishan Lal Middha were present on the occasion.
The programme started with lighting of lamp and chanting of Vedic mantras. Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, underlining the importance of yoga, said the objective of the state government is to create a ‘yoga-yukt, nasha-mukt and yogamay Haryana’. The 11th International Yoga Day is being celebrated nationwide as a major festival this year. In Haryana, celebrations commenced 25 days ago with a Yoga Mahotsav inaugurated on May 27. Subsequently, various departments, institutions, and armed and paramilitary forces are being integrated into the events to raise public awareness about health promotion.
He said it is a matter of good fortune for us that on June 21, yoga practice will be done with the participation of more than 1 lakh people at the Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra under the guidance of Yoga Rishi Swami Ramdev.
Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Sh. Krishna Lal Middha said we should adopt yoga in our daily routine. On June 21, lakhs of citizens from all over the state will be a part of this health campaign.
The IDY Yoga Protocol Training Programme was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Jaideep Arya, Chairman, Haryana Yog Aayog. The protocol training was conducted by Dr. Rajkumar, Registrar, Haryana Yog Aayog, in which Dr. Jaspreet Kaur and Priyanka were present on the stage as yoga instructors. Along with this, Yogasana Bharat players Dev and Abhay gave a wonderful presentation of yogasana. The practice of protocol training started with prayer and concluded with Shanti Paath after subtle exercise, asanas, pranayama and meditation.
Vice-President of Haryana Yog Aaoyog Dr. Roshan Lal, Director General of AYUSH Department Sh. Sanjeev Verma and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
Opposition is Engaged only in Politics of Protest- Chief Minister
People are benefiting from Government Schemes, says Nayab Singh Saini
Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, taking a jibe at the Congress, said that the opposition’s sole objective has become opposing for the sake of opposition. Congress leaders are making baseless allegations regarding development schemes, while the truth is that even opposition leaders themselves are benefiting from these schemes, they just avoid mentioning it. A prime example is NH-152D, which is being praised by every citizen of Haryana, said Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference in Panchkula on Tuesday on the successful completion of 11 glorious years of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. On this occasion, Cabinet Ministers, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, Mahipal Dhanda, Vipul Goel, Dr. Arvind Sharma, Shyam Singh Rana, Krishan Kumar Bedi, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. The Chief Minister said that the Opposition should inform the public truthfully about what the government is doing. However, they are opposing even public welfare measures like road construction, free LPG cylinders, increased Minimum Support Prices (MSP), and compensation to farmers. He added that may Congress get the wisdom to understand the historic changes of the past 11 years under Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Haryana Leading in Women Empowerment
The Chief Minister said that while the Central Government has ensured 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies, the Haryana Government has gone a step further by providing 50 percent representation to women in panchayats and urban local bodies, giving a new dimension to women empowerment. As a result, Haryana has emerged as a leader in women’s leadership nationwide, he said.
Responding to a question about Smart Cities, the Chief Minister said that different parameters are set by the institution. He has directed officers to prepare a comprehensive plan, promote a spirit of competition, and elevate the city’s standing to the national rankings.
On the issue of the Common Eligibility Test (CET), the Chief Minister said that the recruitment process is actively ongoing and the CET is a major event, the date for which will be announced soon. It will be conducted transparently in the best interest of the youth.
State-Level International Yoga Day Celebration in Kurukshetra on June 21
The Chief Minister informed that the 11th International Yoga Day celebration in Haryana began on May 27 and will continue for 25 days across the state. Various awareness activities like yoga sessions, slogan writing, painting competitions, and marathons are being held. The main state-level event will take place in Kurukshetra on June 21, in which yoga guru Baba Ramdev will also participate. This year’s Yoga Day theme is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, and the Haryana Government has added the slogan “Yoga Yukt, Nasha Mukt Haryana”.
All roads of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board should be repaired by June 15: Shyam Singh Rana
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana directed officers of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board to repair all its roads by June 15 so that people do not face problems in commuting during the monsoon season.
Sh. Rana was chairing a meeting of officers of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board at his office here today.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department Sh. Raja Sekhar Vundru, Chief Administrator of the Board Sh. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja and other senior officers were present.
The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister took information about the status of all the roads under the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board in the state. He was informed that a total of 4353 roads have been constructed by the Board in the state, out of which 3123 roads have been repaired and fixed, and the remaining roads will also be repaired soon.
Shyam Singh Rana said on April 1, 2025, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini had directed the officials to repair and fix all the roads of the state related to various departments by June 15, 2025. The Agriculture Minister directed the officials of the board to review the current condition of all the roads and repair the roads within the stipulated period.
He also directed the officials to prepare a list of the roads constructed by the Board in the state in the last 11 years and said just as the Central Government has placed before the public an account of the developmental works done under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, similarly, in Haryana also, the account of the roads constructed by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board during the last 11 years will be placed before the people. The minister also reviewed the ongoing works in the grain markets under the board and directed to expedite all the works. He discussed the upcoming action of the proposed flower market, natural grain market in Gurugram and also directed to explore the possibilities of setting up a fish market there.
Shyam Singh Rana also discussed the demands of the commission agents of the market with the officials. Apart from this, he directed to immediately pay the outstanding subsidy of DSR (Direct Seeding Rice) related to stubble management.

Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing a press conference on the completion of 11 impactful years of the Modi Government, praised Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s leadership for steering the nation from a time of indecision and inefficiency to an era of dynamic governance, national pride, and global recognition. He described the last 11 years as the most transformative phase of independent India, where each citizen has felt the presence of a decisive, sensitive, and effective government. The Chief Minister said, while the previous Congress-led governments were often marked by hesitation, weak decision-making and misplaced priorities, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi gave India a clear vision, a strong direction, and an unwavering commitment to public welfare and nation-first governance.
Before 2014, the country was engulfed in an atmosphere of gloom and distrust. Corruption, and ineffective leadership had blocked our progress. Those days were ruled by fear, nepotism, regionalism, and corruption, there was a complete lack of fair governance. But under the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s leadership, India witnessed a decisive and transparent administration, said Nayab Singh Saini.
He said that guided by the principle of ‘Minimum Government–Maximum Governance,’ procedures were simplified and public participation was encouraged.
From Indecision to Global Impact- India Emerges as a World Leader
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that when Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, our economy ranked 11th worldwide. He highlighted how under Prime Minister’s leadership India’s economy rose from the 11th to the 4th largest global economy. He said that India’s total exports reached $825 billion in 2024–25. Engineering exports grew from $73 billion in 2014–15 to $117 billion in 2024–25. Besides this, Defence exports have risen 34‑fold since 2014, reaching Rs. 23,622 crore in 2024–25, compared to just Rs. 1,521 crore before 2016. In the past 10 fiscal years, India attracted around US $668 billion in FDI, up from US $323 billion during 2000–2014, said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister took strong measures like demonetization to crack down on black money and curb parallel economies. From Chandrayaan to exporting defence equipment, India is setting benchmarks. Under previous governments, such ambition was rarely seen. Today, we are at the frontlines of diplomacy, science, and technology, he said.
PM has taken several bold decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370, GST implementation
The Chief Minister credited this growth to bold decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370, Citizenship Amendment Act, digital and financial reforms, and anti-terror surgical strikes. Cultural pride has also been renewed through monumental steps like the construction of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he said.
He said that recently, the world’s highest rail bridge, the Chenab Bridge, linked the Kashmir Valley to the rest of the country.
The Chief Minister said that after waiting 500 years, the grand Shri Ram Lalla temple was built in Ayodhya, symbolizing our cultural pride and belief.
Furthermore, operation ‘Sindoor,’ the surgical strikes in response to the 2016 Uri attack, and the strong retaliatory strike after the 2019 Pulwama attack, all became possible due to Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s strong leadership and decision-making, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Digital India and Self-Reliance Under PM Modi’s Vision
The Chief Minister outlined how Digital India has reshaped service delivery through platforms like UPI, BHIM. During the COVID-19 crisis, India led the world as a pharma hub and also ensured free vaccination for over 220 crore doses within the country. India now leads from the front on the global stage, be it G20, climate leadership or technological diplomacy. Thanks to India’s initiative at the United Nations, June 21 is now celebrated worldwide as International Yoga Day, an enduring symbol of India’s cultural resurgence, said Nayab Singh Saini.
Empowering the Poor- A Government for Every Citizen
The Chief Minister described Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s development model as a model that is mainly based on the upliftment of the poor, farmers, women, and youth. Over 81 crore people received free ration through PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Jal Jeevan Mission delivered clean drinking water to 15 crore rural homes. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ensured over 4 crore homes for the poor, he shared.
He said that schemes like PM SVANidhi and Stand-Up India empowered small vendors and entrepreneurs, while over 55 crore Jan Dhan accounts and 77 crore Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries are testimony to a government working for every Indian.
Revolution in Agriculture: Farmers at the Core of Governance
The Chief Minister shared that the Prime Minister led Central Government agricultural budget rose from Rs. 27,663 crore in 2013–14 to Rs.1,37,757 crore in 2025–26, a fivefold increase. He shared that under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana provided Rs. 3.70 lakh crore directly to over 11 crore farmers. Insurance claims worth Rs. 1.75 lakh crore were disbursed under PM Fasal Bima Yojana. The MSP regime was revised to guarantee 50 percent profit over input costs. Besides this, Dairy and fisheries were prioritized, with a 64 percent increase in milk production, and dramatic growth in exports of honey and processed foods. Solar pumps under PM-KUSUM and digitally linked mandis under e-NAM are revolutionizing rural economies, shared the Chief Minister.
Women at the Forefront of Nation-Building
The Chief Minister emphasized how Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s governance model has consistently empowered women. He said that launched from Panipat in 2015, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign helped correct the declining gender ratio, now improved from 918 to 1020. Over 4.20 crore Sukanya Samriddhi accounts were opened, and 35.38 crore women received Rs.14.72 lakh crore through Mudra loans, he shared.
Nayab Singh Saini said that women now command roles in politics, thanks to initiatives like the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which reserves one-third seats in legislatures for women. In 2014, representation was below 10 percent in Lok Sabha and State Vidhan Sabha, he said.
Youth and Education: Building an Empowered Generation
Describing youth as the “Amrit Peedhi,” the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has transformed India into the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with over 1.60 lakh registered start-ups. About 17.60 lakh jobs have emerged from start-ups alone.
With the New Education Policy 2020, India is aligning its education system with global standards. IITs, AIIMS, and IIMs have expanded, and over 1.60 crore youth have been skill-trained under Skill India, said Nayab Singh Saini.
Middle-Class Welfare and Modern Infrastructure
The Chief Minister said that for the middle class, the last 11 years have brought robust progress. Tax rebate was provided for incomes up to Rs. 12.75 lakh. Besides this, Metro networks expanded to 23 cities, and air connectivity was brought to remote regions through UDAN. Digital health services like e-Sanjeevani conducted over 37 crore teleconsultations. Free COVID treatment and vaccines saved countless lives, he said.
Nayab Singh Saini said that PM Gati Shakti, Bharatmala, and Sagarmala projects have fast-tracked infrastructure growth, while Vande Bharat trains and 3,600 km of high-speed rail corridors have transformed mobility.
Haryana’s Growth Accelerated Under the Double Engine Government
The Chief Minister highlighted how Haryana has been a direct beneficiary of the Modi Government’s vision. In the past 11 years, PM Modi visited Haryana 14 times, inaugurating key projects like AIIMS Jhajjar, Bima Sakhi, Hisar Airport, and Yamunanagar Thermal Plant. He said that the state now has 21 approved National Highways, 12 of which are already operational. Solar rooftops under the PM Suryaghar Yojana are powering 17,000 homes in Haryana, with a target of 2 lakh in the coming year, shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Yamunanagar Power Project on Track: Key Milestones Achieved at DCRTPP Expansion
The Chairman of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd. Mr Sanjeev Kaushal (HPGCL) today chaired a high-level review meeting with officials from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) to assess the progress of the 1×800 MW Ultra Super Critical Expansion Unit at the Ch. Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant (DCRTPP) in Yamunanagar.
The Rs. 7,272.07 crore project, awarded to BHEL on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis, is advancing steadily and has already achieved several key milestones on the ground.
During the meeting, it was informed that civil work for the critical curtain wall separating the new unit from the existing 2×300 MW units is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025, with structural work scheduled to conclude by July 15, 2025. A major operational milestone—the boiler light-up—is planned for August 2028, paving the way for the commercial commissioning of the unit in March 2029.
Highlighting the project’s environmental commitments, the Chairman stated that HPGCL is maintaining a 110-hectare green belt near the plant site, with plans to afforest an equal area to enhance the region’s ecological balance.
The expansion project, which commenced with the laying of the foundation stone by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on April 14, 2025, is progressing according to schedule. BHEL has secured a temporary 19 kW electricity connection to support construction activities and has applied for a 250 kW connection to facilitate further works.
Land acquisition for the project is ongoing, with approximately 56 acres earmarked for development. Of this, 35 acres have already been secured for the site store. Construction activities, including earth filling, boundary wall erection, and leveling of the laydown area, are well underway.

The Haryana Government has significantly intensified its fight against drug abuse and called upon every citizen to become an active partner in achieving the vision of a Drug-Free Haryana. Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, has urged all citizens to proactively use the MANAS Helpline 1933 which is a 24×7 confidential service designed to empower the community in the fight against narcotics.
Dr. Misra stated that citizens can report any information concerning drug trafficking, including the sale, purchase, or illicit cultivation of narcotics. MANAS Helpline (1933) offers a secure and confidential platform for individuals to address critical issues while keeping their identities confidential, she added. The MANAS Helpline also serves as a vital resource for those seeking guidance and support for de- addiction and rehabilitation services. It also serves as a public information resource, offering educational content like posters, videos, and brochures that can be freely accessed, downloaded, and shared from the official website: https://www.ncbmanas.gov.in/awareness.
Dr. Misra emphasized that the fight against drugs cannot succeed without full cooperation from society. While government bodies like the NCB play a crucial role, their efforts alone are not enough. She stated that the Haryana Government is following a Whole-of-Government approach, combining structural, institutional, and digital reforms to dismantle the drug ecosystem from every angle. Modern surveillance tools such as the GIS-enabled MAPDRUGS portal and mobile app are being used to monitor and act against illegal drug cultivation and trafficking with greater precision.
She stated that, in line with the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the government launched the ambitious Drug-Free Haryana Cyclothon 2.0 to build mass public participation in the anti-drug movement. Flagged off from Sirsa, the Cyclothon pass through all 90 assembly constituencies between April 5 and April 27, 2025, transforming into a state-wide people’s movement. With over 4.5 lakh cyclists actively participating and more than 7.2 lakh citizens attending events, the campaign mobilized communities like never before. From elected representatives to women, youth, and rural residents every section of society echoed a united voice against the menace of drugs.
Dr. Misra disclosed that the government has taken stringent action on the enforcement front. In the first four months of 2025, the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) carried out major operations, seizing 22.40 kg of heroin, 57.78 kg of Charas, 1,520.71 kg of Ganja, 87.09 kg of Opium, and 6,766.33 kg of Poppy Straw. Authorities also confiscated 1,609 bottles, 48,982 capsules, 3,152 injectable narcotics, over 95,000 tablets, and 128.35 kg of opium poppy. During this same period, 1,130 cases were registered under the NDPS Act, out of which 143 involved commercial quantities. A total of 1,801 offenders were arrested, including 332 for possession or trafficking of commercial quantity drugs. Additionally, 34 offenders were detained under preventive sections of the PITNDPS Act, 1988.
Haryana Government issues instructions in cases of Common Cadre Group-D employees
The Haryana Chief Secretary has directed that all the Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula will take action at their own level in all those cases related to Common Cadre Group-D employees, in which they are self-competent as per the Haryana Civil Services Rules, 2016.
It is worth noting that the Common Cadre Group-D employees recruited under Advertisement 01/2023 have been appointed in various departments, Divisional Commissioner Offices and the office of Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula. It has been observed that the cases related to leave, allowances, medical reimbursement, pay fixation etc. of these Common Cadre Group-D employees are still being sent to the Directorate of Human Resource Development for decision or further necessary action. This is causing unnecessary delay in the settlement of these cases. However, the Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula are capable of taking decisions on their own in these cases.
However, if in any case the Director, HRD Department is the competent authority, then clear proposal with recommendation or comments and detailed facts of the case may be sent only after obtaining comments of SAS cadre officer (if required).
Haryana to hold medical checkup of Civil Secretariat employees
A general medical/health checkup will be organized for officers and employees of the Haryana Civil Secretariat in the dispensary located on the ground floor of the Secretariat.
A branch-wise list has been released as per the scheduled date for this programme which will run for about a month. The concerned officers have been asked to ensure that the officers and employees working under them get their health checked as per the date fixed for their branch.
