An Duo Art show “Prakirti “by prominent artists Prashant & Kirti Sarkar being organised by Pracheen Kala Kendra at its PKK Art gallery
Pracheen Kala Kendra organization dedicated to art and culture is going to organize a a duo Art show “ Prakirti” by prominent artists Prashant & Kirti Sarkar bringing together their best works .
Sh. Madan Lal, Honorary Secretary , Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi will be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the Show. The Exhibition will be on view from 7th to 15th November from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. The show will be held at PKK Art Gallery at 35 sector complex of the Kendra.
It is one thing to make works of art, quite another to comprehend them and the ways of comprehension are myriad. Well, that as it may be, the paintings of the couple, Prashant K. Sarkar and Kirti B. Sarkar could be said to be propositions of a cultural reality. They have a language of symbols and a style of life we in India are largely familiar with. This reality is neither subjective nor objective.
It is collective; the given forms are pictorial equivalents for the conventions of social and spiritual life, of a good bit of the handed-down Indic tradition. Even so the works are also the outcome of conscious thought and intention. Both artists have acquired the necessary craft skills to work out their chosen images in line with what is familiar.

Neither of them in almost any of their composition is seen breaking away to some unknown territory concocted by the inner mind. And so, within their bounds, they represent nostalgia, ecstasy, coyness etc. etc. quite as they were once presented in the miniatures of yore. Their idiom, or rather medium, is different but the gamut of moods is the same.
