Annual Prize Giving Function of GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna
The 5th Annual Prize Giving Function was organised by GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna on 30th of March, 2019.
Function was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Batra ,Dean Academic Affairs, Punjabi University, Patiala.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the worthy Chief Guest, accompanied by Maj. Gen. A.K. Shori, Chairman of the GGDSD Society, Kheri Gurna, Dr. Sunil K. Baria, Principal and other dignitaries.
The programme proceeded with the recitation of Saraswati Vandana. Thereafter, Dr. Baria presented the annual report of the college.
He highlighted the significant achievements of the college, its faculty and students during the academic session 2018-2019 along with elaborating the future vision of the college.
During the Prize Giving Ceremony, certificates were awarded to 140 meritorious students for excelling in the academic field.
The students who have brought laurels in sports, cultural, extra-curricular activities were also felicitated.
Prof. Batra in his address applauded the efforts of the students and advised them to work hard and achieve greater heights in their lives.
He also congratulated the college authorities for their stupendous performance in the field of education, sports and extra-curricular activities during a short span of time.
Maj. Gen. A.K. Shori (Chairman, GGDSD College Society, Kheri Gurna) proposed a vote of thanks to the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time.
He also expressed his gratitude to all those who have contributed in one way or the other to make this event a success.
