CM attends Shri Amruteshwar Mahotsav and Bhajan Sandhya

Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that India’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions play a vital role in uniting society. Spiritual gatherings strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, service, and positivity in society.

The Chief Minister was addressing devotees during the  Shri Amruteshwar Mahotsav and Bhajan Sandhya programme late  Tuesday evening.

The Chief Minister said that the blessings of saints and spiritual leaders provide the right direction to society and play an important role in connecting the younger generation with Indian culture and values. He added that the state government is continuously promoting religious and cultural events across Haryana.

After the Bhajan Sandhya programme, the Chief Minister offered prayers and performed Gau Seva, praying for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the people of the state.

During the Bhajan Sandhya organised by Swami Sampurnanand Brahmachari, renowned singer B Praak, along with several other artists, mesmerised devotees with devotional performances. On this occasion, Haryana BJP President, Mohan Lal Kaushik and several other dignitaries were also present.

Haryana Government Issues Consolidated Guidelines for Appointment and Facilities of Chairpersons and Vice Chairpersons

The Haryana Government has issued consolidated standard terms and conditions for non-officials who are appointed as Chairpersons, Deputy/ Vice Chairpersons in Bodies other than PSUs, statutory commissions and constitutional bodies in the state, with an objective to bring uniformity, transparency and administrative clarity in such appointments. The instructions have been issued by the Political and Parliamentary Affairs Department under the Chief Secretary’s Office.

The consolidated policy brings together various amendments and provisions issued from time to time into a single framework so that all departments and bodies may uniformly implement the prescribed norms and avoid ambiguity in interpretation.

As per the policy, the tenure of office of the incumbent shall initially be one year from the date of assuming charge. However, the Government may curtail or extend the tenure as deemed appropriate from time to time.

The policy provides that Chairpersons may be granted an honorarium up to ₹75,000 per month, while Deputy/Vice Chairpersons may receive an honorarium up to ₹45,000 per month. Members entrusted with regular responsibilities may receive an honorarium of ₹30,000 per month.

In addition to the honorarium, several facilities and entitlements have also been prescribed. Chairpersons shall be eligible for house rent allowance up to ₹50,000 per month or actual rent, whichever is less, while Deputy/Vice Chairpersons may receive up to ₹45,000 per month or actual rent, whichever is lower.

The policy further provides telephone facilities, including an official mobile phone equivalent to the entitlement of Group-A officers of the State Government. Travelling allowance and daily allowance equivalent to Grade-I officers under Haryana Civil Services Rules have also been prescribed. Medical facilities admissible to Group-A officers shall also be extended to Chairpersons and Deputy/Vice Chairpersons.

The Government has also made provision for official transport support. A staff vehicle with driver shall be provided for official duties, while reimbursement provisions for the use of personal vehicles during official journeys have also been prescribed under specified limits.

The instructions further provide staffing support, including a Private Secretary or Personal Assistant, Clerk, Peon and Home Peon for Chairpersons and Deputy/Vice Chairpersons, wherever applicable.

The Government has clarified that these provisions shall be applicable in all cases where specific rules or regulations do not already exist. It has also categorically stated that no relaxation or deviation from the prescribed provisions shall be entertained under any circumstances.
