SRM University Delhi-NCR hosted the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) on 8th July 2025, to formally establish the SRM-HKCL Centre of Excellence for Skill Development. The partnership aims to strengthen the delivery of industry-aligned skill enhancement programs and further the employability of students across disciplines at SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat.
The event commenced with a cordial felicitation of the guests, Mr. Abhijit Kulkarni, Managing Director and CEO of HKCL, and Mr. Vikas Bishnoi, Business Analyst at HKCL. Prof. Samuel V. Raj, Registrar and Dean Academic Affairs, addressed the gathering, highlighting SRM University’s multifaceted contributions to higher education. He emphasized the university’s commitment to research, academic excellence, interdisciplinary learning, and fostering industry-academia linkages that empower students with practical skills and career-ready competencies.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Jaswal, in his capacity as Chairperson of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), elaborated on the strategic importance of IQAC in sustaining and enhancing institutional quality. He stressed its pivotal role in aligning curriculum reforms, pedagogical innovation, and skill development initiatives with national benchmarks and global best practices. He further expressed confidence that the collaboration with HKCL would usher in a new era of dynamic, outcome-based skill education at SRM.
Representing HKCL, Mr. Abhijit Kulkarni delivered a compelling overview of HKCL’s mission to bridge knowledge gaps through scalable digital learning models. He outlined HKCL’s legacy in skill development across Haryana, including digital literacy initiatives, vocational programs, and e-learning platforms. Mr. Kulkarni expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, which he described as a significant step toward integrating technology-driven skill acquisition into mainstream education.
The ceremony culminated with the formal signing of the MoU between SRM University’s Registrar, Prof. Samuel V. Raj, and HKCL’s MD & CEO, Mr. Abhijit Kulkarni. The agreement signifies a mutual commitment to excellence in skill development and sets the stage for impactful academic collaboration and student empowerment.
