First National Ball Hockey Seminar organized by ball hockey association of Chandigarh for luching ball Hockey in India
150 coaches participate in 5 days training during the launching of game
Mohali, 27 Sep:Ball hockey association of Chandigarh, organized 1st National Ball Hockey Seminar. Kumar Rahul (IAS) inaugurated the event.Sukhpal Singh Khera (MLA), Kanwal Singh Sandhu (MLA Kharar), Jagtar Singh Jagga (MLA- Raikot) were the guests of honor. It was 5 days long events were organized.
The participation of over 150 coaches from 22 states of India. International coach WAYNE CHOW had guided and trained all the players. After the training a test was conducted for all the participants, certificate given to all the players during the ball hockey association of Chandigarh programme at PIS sports complex sector 78 Mohali.
While talking to media persons Wasim Raja (President IBHF) and Parminder Singh (secretary general BHAC) informed that Ball Hockey is a team work game and this game is a variation of Ice hockey and told that this game was started in the streets of Canada and was further affiliated as a official game .

Ball hockey is patented after ice hockey except that the game is played on foot on a non ice surface like usually on concrete surface and can be played in parking areas and on cemented areas for practice.
