Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said Haryana will play a leading role in realising Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat-2047. Addressing a programme in Gurugram, he said that since the formation of Haryana in 1966, every government has contributed to the state’s development in its own way. However, the pace of development and work culture have undergone a remarkable transformation over the past nearly 11 years. He said Haryana has today established itself as one of the country’s leading states, and the government’s objective is to further accelerate this momentum of development. Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Co-operation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma was also present.
The Chief Minister said the Haryana Government is taking every section of society including youth, farmers, women and the poor along the path of development. He said the double-engine government has, over the past several years, established a transparent and people-centric governance system that has strengthened public confidence. This trust, he said, will serve as the foundation for taking Haryana to new heights of economic, social and industrial development.
Transparent policies and improved infrastructure strengthening investors’ confidence
The Chief Minister said the present State Government is promoting industrial growth through a participatory policy framework. He said that, for the first time, the State has introduced the practice of holding extensive consultations with industry representatives and stakeholders from various sectors before preparing the Budget, so that their needs and suggestions can be incorporated into policymaking.
Following the same approach, the government studied best practices from different Indian states and abroad before drafting the new Industrial Policy. Several rounds of consultations were then held with industry associations, and their recommendations were incorporated into the policy, making Haryana’s Industrial Policy more effective and aligned with investors’ expectations.
The Chief Minister said the government has set a target of attracting Rs 5 lakh crore in investment through the new Industrial Policy. Receiving investment proposals worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore on the very day the policy was launched, he said, reflects the growing confidence of the industrial sector in Haryana.
To facilitate investors, he said that the government has further simplified and strengthened the single-window clearance system so that all required approvals can be granted within 14 to 15 days. He added that work has begun on developing 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) across the state, with several projects already progressing rapidly.
Referring to his recent visit to Japan, the Chief Minister said Haryana also received investment proposals worth thousands of crores during the tour. The government’s objective, he said, is to provide world-class infrastructure and make Haryana the country’s most preferred destination for industrial investment.
New Industrial Policy to generate more employment
The Chief Minister said the new Industrial Policy provides higher incentives than before to industries that employ Haryana’s youth. The incentive has been increased from Rs 48,000 to Rs 1 lakh per eligible employee. Industries providing employment to persons with disabilities will receive an incentive of Rs 1.25 lakh. These measures, he said, will create greater employment opportunities at the local level.
Industry-oriented skill training for youth; special support for startups and MSMEs
The Chief Minister said the government has established close coordination between Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and industries so that young people receive training aligned with industry requirements. This will enable local youth to secure employment within the state while ensuring industries have access to a skilled workforce.
He further said the government is actively promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as the startup ecosystem. The Budget includes special provisions to encourage research and innovation, enabling young entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas into successful enterprises and create new avenues for self-employment.
Government focused on developing Gurugram into a world-class city
The Chief Minister said infrastructure development in Gurugram including roads, Metro connectivity, the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), drainage and drinking water facilities is being expanded at a rapid pace. Long-term projects are being implemented keeping future requirements in mind, with the aim of developing Gurugram into a globally competitive modern city.
He added that, ahead of the monsoon, desilting of drains, installation of recharge systems and other necessary works have already been undertaken to minimise waterlogging and ensure smooth traffic movement during the rainy season.
Drinking water project being planned to meet Gurugram’s needs for the next 50 years, strong policies drive development
The Chief Minister said a long-term project is underway to meet Gurugram’s future drinking water requirements. Once completed, the project will ensure that the city does not face any drinking water shortage for nearly the next 50 years.
He said the progress of any state depends on the strength of its policies. Over the past several years, people-centric policies implemented by both the Central and Haryana Governments have led to significant expansion of infrastructure, increased investment and strengthened public confidence in the government.
Focus on crop diversification to enhance farmers’ income
The Chief Minister said the government is encouraging farmers to diversify beyond traditional crops by adopting horticulture and other high-value crops. At the same time, sustained efforts are being made to enhance farmers’ income through procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), promotion of natural farming, effective crop residue management and the establishment of processing units, he said. On this occasion MLA Smt Bimla Choudhary, Tejpal Tanwar, Mukesh Sharma, Media Secretary Parveen Attrey, Advisor Rajiv Jately also remained present.

Public Outreach to be Strengthened Through Marathons and Direct Interaction with Citizens Across Districts
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Arun Gupta, said the Haryana Government will launch a special public awareness campaign to make the state drug-free. As part of the initiative, marathons will be organized in several districts and direct interaction with citizens will be undertaken to build greater public participation in the anti-drug movement.
Arun Gupta was chairing a meeting through video conference today with Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all districts. Chief Minister’s Special Officer, Sh. Pankaj Nain, was also present during the meeting.
The Principal Secretary said that in accordance with the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, efforts should be made to connect every citizen with this anti-drug campaign being conducted under the Haryana Uday Programme so that Haryana can be made completely drug-free. The government is committed to eliminating the menace of drugs from its roots and ensuring that the youth become active participants in nation-building.
He further stated that under Haryana Uday, and in line with the Chief Minister’s Community Policy and Outreach Programme, people across the state will be continuously sensitized and made aware about the harmful effects of drug abuse over a period of three months.
A state-level programme will be organized at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula, on July 11, where direct interaction will be held with non-governmental organizations and representatives of drug associations. Similarly, a programme will be held at Madhuban on July 18 to interact with Station House Officers (SHOs) and MHCs from across the state.
Gupta informed that a state-level marathon will be organized in Faridabad on August 9. Similar marathons will be held in Yamunanagar on July 26, Rewari on September 6, and Mahendragarh on September 27. Young men and women participating in these marathons will act as ambassadors of the campaign and help spread awareness against drug abuse among the wider public.
He directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure close coordination among various departments to make the anti-drug campaign a success and to maximize public participation in the initiative.

Haryana Ranks Second in India in Registrations on ‘TB Mukt Bharat App’
Haryana Health Minister, Arti Singh Rao has appealed to people across the state to join the fight against tuberculosis by becoming Nikshay Mitras, urging citizens to actively support the government’s mission of making Haryana TB-free. She also called for the widespread adoption of the newly launched TB Mukt Bharat App, describing it as a key digital platform for strengthening community participation in tuberculosis elimination.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, the Health Minister said Haryana has achieved another significant milestone in the nationwide campaign to realise the Prime Minister’s vision of a TB-Free India. She said the Health Department has issued comprehensive guidelines to all 22 districts for large-scale adoption of the TB Mukt Bharat App, developed under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). The application brings TB patients, Nikshay Mitras, volunteers and health officials together on a single digital platform, making patient support and treatment monitoring more efficient.
Arti Rao said Haryana has recorded 32,643 registrations on the app so far, making it the second-highest ranked state in the country in terms of total registrations. Of these, 22,266 volunteers have registered to provide nutritional support through food baskets and psychosocial assistance to TB patients, while 1,997 Nikshay Mitras have signed up to adopt patients and extend nutritional as well as diagnostic support.
Highlighting the app’s features, the Minister said it includes ‘Khushi e-Sangini’, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot available in 12 languages. The chatbot provides information on TB symptoms, government welfare schemes and helps users locate the nearest TB testing centres through GPS-enabled services.
She said the application has been designed with a patient-centric approach. TB patients can log in using their Nikshay ID to access their personalised treatment chart. The app also features a daily medicine reminder system to improve treatment adherence and prevent interruptions in medication, a critical factor in successful TB treatment.
The Health Minister said the digital ecosystem has also opened avenues for corporate organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individual citizens to contribute directly to the TB elimination campaign by registering as Nikshay Mitras and supporting patients with nutritional and diagnostic assistance. Volunteers can physically distribute nutrition kits, while geo-tagged and time-stamped photographs uploaded through the app ensure transparency and accountability in the delivery process.
She added that the general public can also use the application to learn about TB symptoms, preventive measures and dispel misconceptions associated with the disease, thereby promoting greater awareness and early detection.
National Health Mission (NHM) Haryana Mission Director, Dr. R.S. Dhillon said frontline healthcare workers, including Senior Treatment Supervisors (STS), Senior TB Laboratory Supervisors (STLS), TB Health Visitors (TBHV) and Community Health Officers (CHOs), have been specially trained to assist patients in downloading the app and activating daily medication reminders on their mobile phones.
Dr. R.S. Dhillon appealed to the public to download the TB Mukt Bharat App from the Google Play Store and participate actively in the campaign by becoming Nikshay Mitras. He urged citizens to remain vigilant about TB symptoms and contribute to the state’s efforts to eliminate the disease through community participation, adding that Haryana is determined to remain at the forefront of becoming the country’s first TB-free state.
Haryana to Hold Indian Army Recruitment Rallies in Four Phases from July 20; Chief Secretary Reviews State-wide Preparations
Haryana is set to host the Indian Army Recruitment Rallies under the Agnipath Scheme in four phases beginning July 20, with the state government putting in place an elaborate administrative and logistical framework to ensure the smooth conduct of one of the largest youth recruitment drives in the state. Reviewing the preparations today, Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi directed all departments to work in close coordination with the Army authorities and ensure that the recruitment process is conducted in a transparent, efficient and candidate-friendly manner.
Chairing a high-level meeting of the State Steering Committee, the Chief Secretary reviewed the recruitment calendar, district-wise preparedness and the responsibilities assigned to various departments. He said Haryana has a distinguished tradition of contributing to the country’s Armed Forces, and it is the responsibility of the state administration to provide every possible support so that aspiring candidates can participate in the recruitment process without any inconvenience.
Brigadier RS Chib, DDG, ZRO Ambala, informed that the first recruitment rally will be organised at Rohtak from July 20 to July 27, 2026, for candidates from Jhajjar, Panipat, Rohtak and Sonipat districts. The second rally will be held in Bhiwani from September 2 to September 18, covering Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh and Rewari. The third rally will be at Ambala from October 12 to October 25, for candidates from Ambala, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Yamunanagar and Chandigarh, while the final phase will take place at Hisar between January to March 2027, covering Hisar, Hansi, Jind, Fatehabad and Sirsa. Candidates are advised to get in touch with AROs for further information.
The Chief Secretary undertook a comprehensive review of the arrangements required for the rallies, including venue preparedness, accommodation for candidates and Army personnel, security deployment, traffic regulation, transportation, drinking water, sanitation, uninterrupted electricity supply, medical facilities and ambulances at venue centres, fire safety and other essential civic amenities. He directed the Deputy Commissioners concerned to personally oversee the preparations and ensure that all arrangements are completed well before the commencement of the rallies. Regular coordination meetings with the Army Recruitment Organisation were also emphasised.
Rastogi directed the appointment of nodal officers in every district who will coordinate with the Army authorities, besides the logistical support to be extended for organising the rallies.
The meeting also deliberated on initiatives to encourage more young people to join the Armed Forces. A proposal to establish dedicated “Know Your Armed Forces” corners in Government Schools across Haryana was also reviewed. The Chief Secretary directed the Education Department to identify suitable space in schools, while the Zonal Recruiting Office would develop informative displays highlighting career opportunities in the Army and inspiring students to consider military service.
Rastogi also directed the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department to develop a dedicated digital portal for creating and maintaining a comprehensive database of Agniveers. The portal will facilitate the collection of details related to their skills, qualifications, training, and experience, enabling better coordination with government departments, public sector undertakings, and private employers. This initiative aims to ensure enhanced employment and skill development opportunities for Agniveers after the successful completion of their four-year tenure in the Armed Forces.
Reiterating Haryana’s proud tradition of producing soldiers who have served the nation with distinction, Rastogi said the state government remains fully committed to extending every administrative and logistical support for the successful conduct of the recruitment rallies.
