Kerala Samajam, Chandigarh to celebrate Kerala Piravi with cultural grandeur on Sunday

Chandigarh, Kerala Samajam, Chandigarh is set to commemorate Kerala Piravi 2025, the marking the formation of the state of Kerala with a grand cultural celebration on Sunday, November 2 at Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Bhawan, Sector 30, Chandigarh.

The event aims to honour Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, time-honored traditions and enduring spirit of unity and harmony.

The City Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla has been invited to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Several dignitaries and eminent personalities from across the tricity are also expected to attend, adding to the festive fervour.

The cultural programme will showcase an impressive lineup of traditional performances including Bharatanatyam, Thiruvathira Kali, Margam Kali and classical and folk musical recitals  offering audiences a captivating glimpse into Kerala’s vibrant artistic traditions.

A key attraction of the celebration will be the traditional Kerala “Sadya”, an elaborate vegetarian feast served on banana leaves. Expert chefs from Ambalappuzha, Kerala, will curate this authentic culinary experience featuring over 20 delicacies, including Avial, Kalan, Sambar, Palada Pradhaman and Ada Pradhaman.
