New Executive Committee of Chandigarh Softball Association elected, Dr. Dharam Pal, IAS elected as President
The General Body meeting of Chandigarh Softball Association was organized yesterday at Chandigarh Golf Association, Sector 6 to elect the new Executive Committee for the session 2023-2027.
Dr. Dharampal, IAS, Advisor Chandigarh, was elected as the President of Chandigarh Softball Association in the new executive, Mr. Satish Singla HCS was elected as Senior Vice President, and Dr. Sapna Nanda, Mr. Harjit Singh, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma were elected as Vice Presidents. Mr. Rooplal Sharma will hold the charge of General Secretary and Mr. Sumit Sharma, Mr. Satinder Munjal, Mr. Kulbhushan Ahuja, Mr. Satish Prabhakar as Joint Secretaries. Mr. Rajesh Sharma was elected as new treasurer and Mr. Hardev Singh, Mr. Anil Kumar were elected as the executive members.
Dr. Sapna Nanda, welcomed the distinguished guests and members of the house and Sh. Sumit Sharma, General Secretary read out the Annual Report and achievements of the Chandigarh Softball Association. Thereafter, Returning Officer Sh. Hari Parkash, Advocate read out the nominations received for various posts and declared the names of newly elected body. The former President and Chief Patron of the association Sh. S.S. Dhillon, IAS congratulated the newly elected President and the executive body and wished success for the association to greater heights. The house also congratulated the newly elected office bearers.
The newly elected President Dr. Dharam Pal, IAS expressed gratitude to the members for expressing faith in him. He also mentioned that being a sportsperson, he would love to contribute to take the game of Softball to the next level. He sought active cooperation of all the members to bring glory to the sport of Softball in Chandigarh by creating best infrastructure and producing players of International capabilities. The meeting ended with Vote of Thanks to the chair by Sh. RoopLal Sharma, General Secretary of the Association.
