Chandigarh Chapter, PHDCCI in association with the Industries Department, Chandigarh Administration, organised Session themed “Next-Gen MSMEs: Financial Strength, Technological Edge & Sustainable Growth” under the RAMP Series at PHD House, Sector 31, Chandigarh.
The session aimed to create awareness among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) about various government schemes, financial tools, and technological interventions available to enhance their competitiveness and resilience. In his Welcome Address, Suvrat Khanna, Co-Chair, Chandigarh Chapter, PHDCCI highlighted the vital role MSMEs play in driving India’s economic growth. He emphasized that financial empowerment and digital readiness are the key pillars for enabling next-generation MSMEs to thrive in the evolving business ecosystem.
Speakers during the session included Tarun Malhotra, Convener, Regional Cyber Security and AI Committee, PHDCCI elaborated on the increasing importance of cybersecurity awareness for small businesses; Deepak Sharma, Trainer GeM conducted an insightful session on leveraging GeM for business expansion; Dribhjot Kaur, Deputy Vice President, HDFC Bank, explained how this initiative supports entrepreneurs in obtaining collateral-free loans and contributes to strengthening MSMEs’ financial capabilities and Padampreet Kaur, AGM, SIDBI, Chandigarh detailed the various financial products and support schemes offered by SIDBI to facilitate credit access. While proposing the Vote of Thanks, Lokesh Jain, Convener, Regional MSME Committee, PHDCCI reiterated PHDCCI’s commitment to supporting MSMEs through continuous engagement, awareness programmes, and capacity-building initiatives under the RAMP Series.
