The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has urged the state government to extend the cutoff date for admissions by one month in view of the recent floods that have disrupted normal life across Punjab.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, President PUCA and Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, said that for several courses, including law, the last date for admissions was August 31. However, many students and institutions were unable to complete the process due to the calamity.
PUCA Patron S. Manjit Singh added that in such adverse circumstances, an extension of the deadline is essential to ensure students do not suffer.
