Punjab has decided to Embrace PM Modi’s Policies-CM

Haryana Chief Minister,  Nayab Singh Saini said that the people of Punjab have decided to follow the policies of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. The enthusiasm and spirit visible among the people of Punjab clearly indicate that a strong government will be formed under the Prime Minister’s leadership in the 2027 Assembly elections. He criticized past governments and the present AAP government in Punjab for betraying the trust of the people and pushing the state backwards in terms of development.

The Chief Minister said this while addressing the media in Ludhiana, Punjab.

Congress Chose the Path of Corruption – AAP has Taken It Even Further

The Chief Minister said that both the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress are deeply involved in corruption. Several of their leaders are either already in jail on corruption charges or are soon heading there. The promises made by AAP to the people of Punjab have not been fulfilled, resulting in continuous distrust among the people. While Congress initially followed the path of corruption, AAP has surpassed them in both speed and scale. Every citizen in Punjab is now aware of their corrupt practices, and the people are determined to oust the AAP government in the near future, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Clear Policies, Clean Intentions, and Strong Leadership on Our Side

Nayab  Singh Saini asserted that the BJP stands out with its ‘Saaf Niti, Sahi Niyat aur Sashakt Natritave’ (Clear policies, clean intentions, and robust leadership). In contrast, neither Congress nor AAP have clear policies or the will to serve, and their leadership is  also questionable, he said.

Punjab Government Played Politics of Self-Interest Over Water

In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is an independent institution. He reminded that Punjab, the land of the Gurus, has a legacy of immense sacrifices for the protection of faith and community, along with the principle that no one should be left thirsty. Yet, the Punjab government has selfishly stopped Haryana’s share of drinking water and misled the people on this issue.

Punjab Government denied Central Scheme Benefits to People, While Haryana Ensured grassroot availability

The Chief Minister highlighted that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, lakhs of women in Haryana received free gas connections, whereas people in Punjab were deprived of such benefits.

He said during the Congress time, LPG connections were difficult to obtain, but the BJP government ensured doorstep delivery to the poor. Similarly, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Haryana government provided houses to the needy, while the Punjab government failed to do so, though its leaders built homes for themselves. They care nothing about the poor, he remarked.

100% Procurement at MSP in Haryana, Punjab Farmers Left Out

The Chief Minister emphasized that the Haryana government procures 100 percent of crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP), thereby empowering farmers. However, the Punjab government has failed to extend the benefits of central schemes to its farmers. Over the last ten and a half years, Haryana has paid Rs. 15,500 crore as crop damage compensation and has also provided subsidies on agricultural equipment and irrigation schemes, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

He said that every central scheme launched by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has been fully implemented in Haryana. The state government has also provided free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, benefiting lakhs of families. Our government has fulfilled every promise it made, he reaffirmed.

Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij meet Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Three major requests made for the development of Ambala Cantonment

Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister,Sh. Anil Vij paid a courtesy call on Union Defence Minister, Sh. Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi today. During the meeting, Sh. Vij placed three important demands related to the development of his constituency, Ambala Cantonment before the Defence Minister.

Request to provide defence land for expansion of Civil Hospital

Vij requested that defence land adjacent to the existing Civil and Atal Cancer Hospital in Ambala Cantonment be allocated to the Haryana government for hospital expansion. It is noteworthy that the Atal Cancer Hospital was inaugurated on May 9, 2022, within the civil hospital premises and now receives patients from seven different states. However, there are no adequate facilities for accompanying attendants. A plan is in place to build a ‘dharamshala’ for them.

Apart from this, a Critical Care Centre is also planned at the civil hospital and funding for the same has already been sanctioned by the state government. Furthermore, there is a proposal to set up a Spinal Injury Centre, which would require around 2 to 3 acres of land. This centre will provide specialized treatment for spine-related disorders and has already received approval. It will offer comprehensive medical management for spinal ailments.

Request for four-lane road for the domestic airport

Vij also requested that the road, which falls under military jurisdiction, connecting BC Bazaar to GT Road and leads to the Ambala Cantonment Domestic Airport, be widened into a four-lane road. He mentioned that earlier, the Haryana Government had paid Rs. 133 crore to the Defence Ministry in exchange for 20 acres of land for the construction of this airport. Widening the road is now essential to ensure smooth traffic movement.

Request for widening of roads adjacent to military areas

Vij also requested Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to facilitate the widening of several narrow roads in Ambala Cantonment under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Council and Cantonment Board – especially in areas like Boh and Babyal. These roads were built decades ago and are too narrow by today’s standards, making it necessary to widen it in line with surrounding roads.
