Gur Kripal Singh Sidhu, Vice President of the Akali Dal Trade Wing, has strongly opposed the recent hike in gas cylinder prices and demanded that it be withdrawn immediately.
He said that rising inflation has already put immense pressure on the common man as well as small traders. The increase in cylinder prices has not only disturbed household budgets but has also adversely affected hotels, dhabas, and small businesses.
Sidhu urged the government to understand the difficulties faced by the public and provide immediate relief by rolling back the increased prices of gas cylinders. He warned that if prompt action is not taken, the Akali Dal Trade Wing will be compelled to launch protests on the streets.
He further added that controlling inflation is the government’s primary responsibility and concrete measures must be implemented to address the issue.
