Saatvik Green Energy Limited, one of India’s leading integrated renewable energy companies, has won the Best Environmental Projects Award at the 13th CII National Award for Environmental Best Practices 2026. The award was presented at the national event held on 8–9 October 2026 in Chennai, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The recognition honours Saatvik’s engineering-led initiatives in aluminium frame optimisation, encapsulant development, and round-ribbon design improvement, projects undertaken under the framework of Product Responsibility and Life Cycle Assessment. These initiatives reflect Saatvik’s focus on building solar modules that are not only high in performance and reliability, but also more resource-efficient across their manufacturing and operational lifecycle.

The award strengthens Saatvik’s positioning as a responsible, engineering-driven solar manufacturer, with a demonstrated commitment to reducing material intensity while maintaining and improving module durability and field performance. The Ambala plant’s NPD, Production and Quality teams were instrumental in translating these initiatives from concept to validated outcomes, combining design innovation, production trials and rigorous quality assessment to achieve results that earned national recognition.

Commenting on the recognition, Prashant Mathur, CEO, Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said: “This recognition from CII is a strong endorsement of how we build at Saatvik. In clean energy, leadership is not only about the gigawatts you add, but also about how responsibly and precisely you manufacture them. We have made sustainability central to our manufacturing philosophy, from engineering choices and resource efficiency to the high-performance solar modules we deliver with a smaller environmental footprint. The projects recognised today across aluminium frame optimisation, encapsulant design, and round-ribbon improvement are the result of focused, ground-up engineering work by our Ambala plant teams. They took on the challenge of reducing material intensity without compromising module durability or field performance and delivered outcomes that have now earned national recognition. As India accelerates its energy transition, the responsibility on domestic manufacturers to produce not just more, but better and more consciously, will only grow. We intend to keep raising that bar.”

This award adds to a growing portfolio of sustainability recognitions for Saatvik Green Energy. The Company has been conferred the 4th Prithvi Award 2026 by the ESG Research Foundation for Outstanding Sustainability Performance, the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis for ESG performance, and the Golden Peacock Occupational Health and Safety Award 2026. Its Ambala manufacturing facility has also received the CII-IGBC Green Factory Building Silver Rating. Collectively, these recognitions reflect Saatvik’s approach to building a manufacturing enterprise that is competitive, resource-conscious and accountable.
