Shri Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS Deputy Commissioner Union Territory Chandigarh vide his office Order Number DC/MA/2025/3228 dated 10.02.2025, has appointed Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Secretary Information Technology, Chandigarh, as the Administrator for conducting the election of Chandigarh Olympics Association to be held in March 2025.
The said order has been issued in the compliance of order dated 17.01.2025 passed by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh in CPW No. 15045-2021 (O&M) titled as Raghumit Singh Sodhi v/s Indian Olympics Association and others.
It’s worth mentioning here that Shri Hari Kallikkat is an IAS officer in the AGMUT cadre who was transferred to Chandigarh from Andaman & Nicobar in June 2023. He was the Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar before the transfer.
Ashwani Kumar, General Secretary, Chandigarh Bowling Federation (affiliated with Bowling Federation of India) informed that the said appointment order has its great significance being issued at the time when the National Games are ongoing.
