Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 11 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 11 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 11 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17 = 2 cases, PS-26 = 1 case, PS-IA = 2 cases, PS-34 = 2 cases, PS-36 = 1 case, PS-39 = 2 cases, PS-Maloya = 1 case.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Dowry Death
A case FIR No. 289, U/S 304-B IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Salamideen R/o Village Chhitawar, Mukeempur Pdarath, PS Kiratpur, Distt. Bijnor (UP) who alleged that Mohd. Shoyab and Sajeeda R/o # 2170, Sector 25, Chandigarh were harassing complainant’s daughter due to which she committed suicide at # 2170, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 28.09.2018. Alleged person namely Mohd. Shoyab has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 312, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the statement of Sh. Deepak R/o # 964 Govind Nagar Naya Gaon (PB) who alleged that driver of car No HR-03W-7742 hit to Activa Scooter No. HR-25E-1724 driven by a girl Diksha R/o Sector 12, Panchkula (HR) near slip road, TPT light point, Chandigarh on 29.09.2018. She got injured and admitted to PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged car driver namely Ankit R/o # 305, GH-83A, Income Tax Society, Sector-20, Panchkula (HR) arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
