Trident Stallions' third consecutive win, Titans lost in low scoring match
Trident Stallions’ excellent performance continued in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup and the team defeated Intersoft Titans by 42 runs in a low-scoring match. In the match, Trident Stallions batted first and scored 154/6 in 20 overs, but in response, the team Intersoft Titans could only score 112/8 in 20 overs.
Salil Arora, who is scoring runs consistently for Trident, once again proved to be a troubleshooter. He played an unbeaten innings of 60 runs off 40 balls. It included 5 fours and 2 sixes. Due to this, the team was able to achieve a respectable score. The bowling attack of the team was also excellent. Baltej, Aryaman Singh and Ravinder Singh Brar took 2-2 wickets. Shubham Rana took one wicket and all bowled economically.
In the match played at IS Bindra Stadium, Titans won the toss and chose to bowl first and Trident did not have a good start. Prabhsimran Singh (15) and Vihaan Malhotra (14) could not play big innings, while Abhay Chaudhary also got out after scoring 23 runs. Salil scored an unbeaten 60 runs in 40 balls at a strike rate of 150 and took the team score to 154/6 in 20 overs. Sahil Sharma scored 20 runs. In reply, Trident did not give the Titans a chance to recover and took wickets continuously. The bowlers did not allow any partnership to be formed, due to which the Intersoft Titans team could only score 112/8 runs. Geetansh Kheda scored 42 runs in 35 balls, but he could not prevent the team’s defeat. From Trident Stallions’ side, Baltej Singh, Aryaman Singh and Ravinder Singh Brar dismissed 2-2 batsmen each.
