
The Gully Cricket Tournament being organized by UT Cricket Association in collaboration with Chandigarh Police has reached its final stage. Team No. 311 and Team No. 187 will clash for the boys’ title while Team No. 52 and Team No. 1 will battle for top honours in the girls’ category.
In the first boys’ semifinal, Team 311 pulled off a thrilling four-wicket win over Team 473. Batting first, Team 473 posted 54/2, with Neeraj Kumar scoring 38. Team 311 stumbled to 12/5 but an unbeaten 23 by Rajesh guided them to victory on the last ball.
The second semifinal witnessed Team 187 beat Team 45 by six wickets. Team 45 was dismissed for 45. Deepak (24) and Aman (17) led the chase, securing the win in the seventh over.
In the girls’ category, Team 52 defeated Team 37 by nine wickets. Team 37 made 59/5, which was chased down in 9.1 overs, thanks to Alfiza Khan (18) and Prabhjot Kaur (12).
In the second semifinal, Team 1 overcame Team 20 by 40 runs. Aditi Gandotra’s 34 lifted Team 1 to 78/3. Ayana (4/13) and Gitanshi (3/3) then bowled out Team 20 for just 38.
