
Chandigarh, The Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) extends its heartiest congratulations to the Indian Women’s Cricket Team for their outstanding victory at the ICC Women’s World Cup. This historic achievement is a proud moment for the nation and an inspiration for millions of young girls who aspire to represent India on the global stage.
Sanjay Tandon, WPL Governing Council Member (BCCI), UTCA President, Saraansh Tandon and other Apex Council Members were specially invited by the BCCI to witness the World Cup Final at Navi Mumbai.
UTCA takes pride in being a frontrunner in promoting women’s cricket. As announced at the association’s last AGM on 26th October, UTCA will soon launch the Women’s Chandigarh Premier League (WCPL), the first-ever state-level women’s league modelled on the WPL format. This initiative reflects UTCA’s commitment to providing young women with a professional platform to showcase their talent and pursue cricket as a career.
