
Chandigarh, Wild Woods Warriors continued their stellar winning spree at the ongoing Chandershekhar Azad T20 Tournament securing their fourth victory with a commanding seven-wicket win over HIIMS Hawks at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3 Panchkula on Thursday. Opting to field first, Warriors’ disciplined bowling restricted Hawks to 144/8 in 20 stipulated overs with skipper Shivam Bhambri (38) and Nehal Pajni (36) as top scorers. Nipun Sharda (2/9) led the bowling attack with two wickets while Chiragvir Dhindsa (2/23) contributed crucial breakthroughs.
In reply, Warriors chased the target in 16.5 overs powered by unbeaten Kunal Mahajan (49 off 29 balls with six boundaries and two sixes). Opener Yuvraj Rai (37) also contributed handsomely.

Later in the day, in a nail-biting encounter Manohar Mavericks clinched their first victory in the tournament by defeating Talanoa Tigers by just one run. Batting first, Mavericks posted 179/7 in 20 overs with Aman (34) and Abhishek Singh (33) as top contributors. In response, Tigers fought hard but despite a half century from Taranpreet Singh (55), the team fell short by one run, finishing at 178/9. A five-wicket haul from Anmol Sharma (5/24) was the standout performance from the bowling side.
Warriors top the points table with four wins out of their five matches with 16 points followed by Talanoa Tigers with three wins and 12 points.
