Will act as bridge between Centre & State for development of Pb: Punjab Governor

The Punjab Governor and UT Chandigarh Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria today reviewed the central development projects and public welfare schemes with senior IAS officers of Punjab at Punjab Raj Bhawan. On this occasion, after a formal introductory session with the IAS officers, the Governor said that he will work as a bridge between the Centre and the State for the development of the Punjab.

He said that everyone should work collectively to ensure that the benefit of all welfare schemes reaches the real beneficiaries, for which he will also contribute his due part. The Governor further said that review meetings regarding central development works and public welfare schemes will be held from time to time. “For the proper implementation of Public Welfare Schemes and to review the central development projects will reach ground level alongwith the State Government functionaries,” added the Governor.

The Governor asked the officers that the common people should not suffer in government offices for this the IAS officers and their subordinate staff should fix time for public dealing on working days.

On this occasion, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria said that the state officers should remain in constant contact with the concerned central officials for the approvals of development proposals sent by the state. Besides this, he said that if there is an obstacle in the clearance of any project at any level, he is ready to provide all support and help.
