A national level function would be organised on the occasion of 138thbirth anniversary of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram and Basant Panchmi on February 10, 2019.
In this function, families of martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir, outstanding sportspersons and meritorious students would be honoured.
Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Satyapal Malik, Union Minister of Steel, Mr. Birender Singh, Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, Dr. Jitendra Singh and other national level leaders would be present in this function.
This was informed by President, Jat Sabha Chandigarh and former DGP Haryana, Dr. Mahender Singh Malik while interacting with mediapersons after presiding over meeting of four organisations at Jat Bhawan, here today.
Others present in the meeting included representatives of Jat Sabha Chandigarh, Rehbar-e-azam Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Jammu and Akhil Bhartiya Shaheed Samman Sangharsh Samiti from Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Malik informed that in order to facilitate pilgrims from all across the country visiting Vaishno Devi, foundation stone of Rehbar-e-azam Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram Yatri Niwas would be laid on February 10, 2019 at Katra by Jat Sabha Chandigarh and Panchkula, Rehbar-e-azam Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Jammu and Akhil Bhartiya Shaheed Samman Sangharsh Samiti.
The Yatri Niwas would spread across 1.20 lakh square feet and a sum of about Rs 20 crore would be spent on it.
It would have 20 family suite and 300 other rooms. The Yatri Niwas would also have one multipurpose hall, one conference hall, medical facility and five lifts. The construction work would be got completed in two years, he added.
