Captain Arjun Azad produced a sensational all-round display to guide Capital Strikers to a convincing 54-run victory over Royal Titans in the Omaxe Chandigarh Premier League 2026 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula.
Azad played a captain’s knock of 108 runs off just 50 deliveries by smashing 10 fours and seven towering sixes as Capital Strikers’ amassed 242/3 in 20 overs. He shared crucial partnerships with Gurtaj Singh who remained unbeaten on 71 off 41 balls and Surya Narayan Yadav (34).
Facing a daunting target, Royal Titans lost wickets at regular intervals despite brief resistance from Sanchit Sahu (20) and Mridul Chawla (27). As the Titans attempted to rebuild, Arjun Azad once again stepped up for his side. The captain delivered a disciplined spell, dismissing the well-set Mridul Chawla and conceding just 30 runs in his four overs.
Although Amrit Lal Lubana fought valiantly with an unbeaten 68 off 35 balls and Ivraj Ranauta contributed 15 not out, Royal Titans could only manage 188 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Earlier, on the Saturday’s night, Skipper Manan Vohra led from the front with a scintillating 96 off 57 balls as HIIMS Hawks registered a convincing eight-wicket victory over Chandigarh Kings. After electing to bat first, Chandigarh Kings posted a competitive 160 for 8 in 20 overs. Skipper Shivam Bhambri anchored the innings with 47 runs while Arnav Bansal contributed a brisk 41 off 22 balls. Vivek Vashisht (3/33) starred with the ball for HIIMS Hawks while Vardaan Verma chipped in with two crucial wickets.
In reply, HIIMS Hawks chased down the target comfortably in 17.4 overs. Vohra dominated the chase with six fours and six sixes in his match-winning knock. Nikhil Thakur provided excellent support with an unbeaten 44 as the Hawks finished at 161/2.
