BRICS Delegation Meets Punjab Minister Aman Arora, Plans MoU to Boost Trade
A delegation from BRICS, led by Deepak Shukla, called on Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to discuss opportunities for strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Punjab and BRICS member nations.
The delegation included Ajay Bangad and Raghav Shukla. During the meeting, both sides discussed enhancing Punjab’s export potential, attracting investments, and expanding international trade linkages.
Deepak Shukla said that discussions were held on promoting Punjab’s industrial, agricultural, and MSME products in BRICS countries while also facilitating imports of products and technologies beneficial to the state’s economy.
He informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed soon between BRICS representatives and the Punjab Government to strengthen cooperation in the fields of exports, imports, trade promotion, and investment facilitation.
Minister Aman Arora appreciated the initiative and emphasized that the Punjab Government is committed to creating new opportunities for industry, entrepreneurs, and exporters through global partnerships that contribute to the state’s economic growth.
