Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini held a detailed meeting with leaders of various farmer organisations from Punjab at Sant Kabir Kutir and assured them that concerns related to farmers and the agriculture sector would be addressed on priority once a BJP government is formed in Punjab. The interaction focused extensively on the present challenges being faced by farmers in Punjab, agricultural reforms and measures required to strengthen the farming community economically and socially.
The delegation, comprising representatives of the Doaba Kisan Union, Kisan Bachao Morcha and members of the Kamboj community, placed before the Chief Minister several issues concerning farmers in Punjab and sought effective and long-term solutions.
Responding to their concerns, the Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has always considered farmers’ welfare as central to its governance and policy framework. He said the BJP governments at both the Centre and in Haryana have consistently worked with commitment and sensitivity for the welfare, prosperity and economic upliftment of farmers.
The Chief Minister said that under the BJP-led government in Haryana, farmers are being provided the benefit of crop procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP), ensuring financial security and protection from market fluctuations. He further said that farmers are also being compensated promptly in cases of natural calamities and crop damage so that they do not face economic distress.
Highlighting Haryana’s farmer-centric initiatives, Nayab Singh Saini said the state government has implemented several progressive measures aimed at increasing farmers’ income, strengthening the rural economy and making agriculture a more profitable and sustainable occupation. He added that the BJP firmly believes that the prosperity of farmers is directly linked to the prosperity of the nation.
Reaffirming the BJP’s commitment towards the farming community, the Chief Minister assured the delegation that once a BJP government is formed in Punjab, issues concerning farmers and the agriculture sector would be resolved on priority through transparent governance, policy-driven reforms and continuous engagement with stakeholders.
He further said that both the Central and State BJP governments are continuously working to strengthen the agriculture sector, empower farmers and accelerate rural development with a spirit of service and commitment.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed the establishment of high-level testing laboratories in the State to ensure stringent quality assessment of all civil works. He said that all construction activities must undergo robust quality checks and reiterated that there shall be no compromise on the quality of development works being executed in the State.
The Chief Minister was chairing a review meeting of the Quality Assurance Authority held with senior officers of engineering departments on Tuesday. He underlined that accountability and responsibility must be clearly defined at every level, and officers must ensure effective ground-level monitoring of ongoing development works. He further directed that comprehensive reports in this regard be submitted without delay.
Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that meaningful improvement in outcomes can only be achieved through systemic reforms within departments. He said that strict action would be taken against departmental heads in case of lapses in ensuring quality and monitoring standards.
He further directed that senior officers must conduct weekly inspections of ongoing projects and ensure that compliance reports are uploaded regularly on the Haryana Engineering Portal. He added that detailed guidelines in this regard would be issued shortly.
The Chief Minister also directed that meetings of the Quality Assurance Authority should be convened every month to periodically review the progress and quality of development works.
Highlighting the importance of efficiency and durability in public infrastructure, the Chief Minister said that improving both systems and execution quality would not only optimize time and financial resources but also ensure long-term benefits for the public. He further directed that quality testing committees should include officers from departments other than the executing agency, and that all inspections must be carried out strictly as per prescribed checklists.
Chairman of the Quality Assurance Authority Rajeev Arora made a detailed presentation outlining measures for standardization across boards, corporations, and engineering departments. The presentation covered key reforms including appointment of consultants for DPR and design, third-party monitoring of projects, QR code-based project tracking, project segmentation, drainage and disposal planning, policy-level scrutiny for large projects, capacity-building and training initiatives, and mandatory accreditation of all laboratories under NABL.

Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that the primary objective of the state government is to provide maximum and world-class sports facilities to players at the grassroots level. The government is working with full commitment and speed in this direction, under which 21 new sports stadiums will be constructed across the state.
The Sports Minister was chairing a review meeting with senior officials of the Sports Department on Tuesday at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula.
*Strict Stand Against Fake Sports Nurseries; 15-Day Ultimatum to District Sports Officers*
During the meeting, the Sports Minister adopted a tough stance against fake sports nurseries. He directed officers that within the next 15 days, all District Sports Officers (DSOs) must prepare and submit ground reports of the sports nurseries operating in their respective districts to the Sports Headquarters. He warned that if any fake sports nursery is found operating anywhere in the state after the submission of these reports, strict disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned District Sports Officer.

Gaurav Gautam instructed officers to ensure that players do not face any inconvenience in their training. He directed that until the official budget is released by the Sports Directorate, District Sports Officers should immediately procure sports equipment and other essential items through the District Sports Councils so that practice sessions are not affected in any manner. He said negligence at any level in this matter would not be tolerated.
*Projects to be Completed Within Fixed Timelines; Synthetic Track in Every District*
Reviewing the ongoing development works, the Sports Minister said that the Chief Minister’s announcements and budget announcements are being implemented on the ground with complete seriousness. He directed officers to establish better coordination with the Public Works Department (PWD) and ensure that the construction of sports stadiums and other pending sports projects are completed within the stipulated time frame. He further stated that to provide international-level facilities to athletes, synthetic athletics tracks will be developed in every district of the state.
*Technology and Security Together — ‘Khelo Haryana App’ and ‘Medical Insurance Scheme’*
To promote digitalisation, the Sports Minister instructed officials to develop the ‘Khelo Haryana App’ at the earliest. This mobile application will contain complete data of all players and sports stadiums in the state, enabling athletes to easily access information about nearby stadiums and practice facilities. In addition, to provide players with a stress-free environment for training, he directed officials to prepare the draft of the ‘Medical Insurance Scheme’ at the earliest so that players can directly benefit from it.

The Sports Minister also directed officers to ensure timely organisation of all sports events as per this year’s sports calendar. Haryana Energy Minister, Anil Vij said that the safety of employees of the Energy Department is the government’s highest priority and that no compensation can ever be more valuable than a human life. He said that whenever an accident occurs while restoring electricity supply, the pain is felt not only by the employee’s family but also by the entire department and the government.
The Energy Minister chaired a meeting with office bearers of the All-Haryana Power Corporations Workers Union, Hisar, in a cordial atmosphere. During the meeting, he seriously considered various demands raised by the employees and assured them of positive solutions.
Circle-wise training to be provided for the use of safety kits – Anil Vij
During the meeting, Anil Vij directed all officials to ensure that every employee engaged in hazardous work is mandatorily provided with modern safety equipment (safety kits) and that their proper usage is ensured. Officials informed the meeting that safety kits had already been provided to all such employees. On this, the Energy Minister directed that special circle-level training sessions be conducted so that employees can use safety equipment correctly and effectively.
The Energy Minister said that no compromise would be tolerated regarding the safety of employees. He said that electricity department employees work day and night under difficult conditions, and the government is fully sensitive towards their safety, welfare, and dignity.
Action to be taken against defaulting consumers drawing electricity from two feeders – Anil Vij
During the meeting, union representatives demanded action against defaulter and domestic consumers taking electricity supply from two feeders. Anil Vij directed the concerned officials to investigate such cases and ensure appropriate action as per rules. He said that electricity connections and supply systems must function transparently and strictly according to regulations.
Special campaign to curb electricity theft – Anil Vij
The issue of electricity theft in rural areas was also discussed in detail during the meeting. On the demand raised by union representatives, the Energy Minister directed officials to launch special campaigns in the villages and areas identified by the union in order to effectively curb electricity theft. He stated that electricity theft not only causes revenue loss to the government but also infringes upon the rights of honest consumers.

Discussions were also held regarding the online transfer policy. The Energy Minister said that the suggestions submitted by the union would be forwarded to the 11-member committee constituted by the State Government so that the practical difficulties and challenges faced by employees could be incorporated into policymaking. In addition, he directed officers to take positive action regarding the demand for temporary transfers against vacant posts.

On the issue of promotions, Energy Minister Anil Vij clearly stated that no employee should face stagnation in promotions. He directed officials to ensure that promotions of employees working in Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam are carried out uniformly and under the same rules and procedures. Directing officials to dispose of pending cases at the earliest, he said, I will personally monitor these matters and keep an eye on the timeline of every file, said the Cabinet Minister.
Study to be conducted on risk allowance being provided in other departments and states – Anil Vij
The demand for risk allowance for employees was also raised during the meeting. On this, the Energy Minister directed the Managing Director of the Energy Department to conduct a study on the risk allowances being provided in other departments and other states and prepare a report so that an appropriate decision can be taken on the matter.

In a major reform aimed at strengthening healthcare services, the Haryana Government has taken a decision to enhance the educational qualification for Operation Theatre (OT) Assistants. The Operation Theatre Assistant Welfare Association, Haryana, has welcomed the decision to raise the qualification for OT Assistants from “10+2 Science” to “B.Sc. OT Technology”.
A delegation led by Association President Rahul Jaglan and General Secretary Rajender Singh met Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao in Chandigarh today. During the meeting, they expressed their gratitude to the Minister for this historic decision.
Members of the Association said that this decision is not merely an academic reform, but a landmark step towards modernising and strengthening Haryana’s government healthcare services. They said the move would significantly improve the quality of surgical services in government hospitals and further ensure patient safety.
Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the cashless surgical load on hospitals has been increasing continuously. In such a scenario, technically skilled staff are essential for the effective handling of modern and advanced surgical equipment. Keeping this in view, the state government has decided to implement “B.Sc. OT Technology” as the required qualification.
She said that the operation theatre is the “backbone” of any hospital or medical institution. OT Assistants (OTAs) are technically qualified and responsible personnel who ensure the smooth, safe and effective functioning of this department. In the modern healthcare system, successful surgeries depend on a skilled operation theatre team, and the government’s decision will further strengthen this system.
The Health Minister also called upon members of the Association to serve the public with complete dedication, commitment and professional efficiency.
ASHA Workers Submit 9-Point Demand Charter to Health Minister, Minister Assures Swift Action
A high-level delegation of ASHA workers on Tuesday met Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao in Chandigarh and submitted a 9-point charter of demands, highlighting their key issues and concerns.
During the meeting, the Health Minister attentively heard the concerns raised by the delegation. She appreciated the contribution of ASHA workers in strengthening the grassroots healthcare system and assured them that the government is fully sensitive and committed to addressing their issues. She categorically stated that all genuine demands of ASHA workers would be fulfilled at the earliest possible time.
Arti Singh Rao also issued on-the-spot directions to the Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Haryana. HALSA Organizes Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in Collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh
Breaking away from the routine legal aid work, Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp, which turned out to be a huge success. A total of 314 units of blood were collected during the camp.
During the summer season, hospitals and blood banks frequently witness a shortage of blood units due to decline in voluntary donations. This shortage adversely affects critical patients who require timely blood transfusions for survival. Keeping in view this pressing humanitarian need as well as with the upcoming observance of ‘World Blood Donor Day’ on 14th June, HALSA organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on Tuesday at the Administrative Building of HALSA, Panchkula, in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Kiran Sibal, Member, State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Punjab, who herself takes keen interest in various social welfare activities.The noble initiative was organized under the inspiring guidance of JusticeDeepak Sibal, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, HALSA with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and strengthening the availability of blood and blood components for needy and critically ill patients requiring lifesaving treatment.
Exhorting the donors, Kiran Sibal highlighted the significance of voluntary blood donation as a noble humanitarian act capable of saving countless lives. She emphasized that donating blood is not merely a medical necessity, but also a social responsibility and encouraged people, especially the youth, to come forward and participate regularly in such life-saving initiatives. She further appreciated the efforts of HALSA and PGIMER, Chandigarh in organizing the camp and spreading awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation in society.

Haryana Public Health Engineering and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Ranbir Gangwa has issued special directions to officers of both departments, stating that ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply during the intense summer season and accelerating road repair and construction works ahead of the monsoon are among the government’s top priorities.
He emphasized that officers should remain in the field as much as possible to ensure on-the-spot resolution of public issues. He also issued directions to Executive Engineers (XENs) and Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) in this regard.
The Minister also held communication with Deputy Commissioners across the State, emphasizing that officers of the Public Health Engineering and Public Works Departments are actively engaged in monitoring water supply systems, addressing complaints related to water scarcity, undertaking road repairs, filling potholes, and executing various ongoing development works. He underlined that during this critical period, it is imperative for officers to spend greater time in the field to ensure that public grievances are resolved promptly and effectively at the site itself, thereby strengthening on-ground service delivery and enhancing public convenience.
Ranbir Gangwa further said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has also advocated fuel conservation, reduction in unnecessary travel, and promotion of virtual meetings. Following this vision, the state government is also encouraging a technology-driven administrative system.
In line with this approach, he directed all Deputy Commissioners to conduct review meetings related to the Public Health Engineering and Public Works Departments through virtual mode wherever possible during the ongoing summer season. This will allow officers to devote more time to fieldwork, save administrative time and fuel, and further accelerate drinking water and road-related works.
The Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is continuously working to strengthen public utilities, complete development projects in a time-bound manner, and provide relief to the common people.

Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini chaired a high-level ‘Pragati’ review meeting at the Haryana Civil Secretariat to assess the status of major development projects worth more than Rs. 75 crores currently underway across the state. Stressing the need for timely execution, the Chief Minister directed all departments to accelerate the pace of work and ensure that projects are completed within stipulated timelines.
Major Healthcare Projects Reviewed During the meeting, special emphasis was laid on key healthcare infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening medical facilities in the state.
Reviewing the construction of the Mother and Child Hospital and Service Block at Faridabad Civil Hospital, officers apprised the Chief Minister that nearly 28 percent of the work has been completed and the project is scheduled for completion by January 18, 2028.
Similarly, the officers further apprised the Chief Minister about the 100-bed Mother and Child Hospital being constructed at the Sonipat Civil Hospital campus at a cost of Rs. 138.12 crore. Around 20 percent of the project work has been completed so far and the facility is expected to be ready by October 19, 2027.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the construction of a 100-bed hospital at Assandh in Karnal, being developed at a cost of Rs. 76.19 crore. Officers further apprised that approximately 25 percent of the work has already been completed.
Emphasising the importance of quality healthcare infrastructure, the Chief Minister said that all health-related projects must be developed as per the highest standards and that no compromise with quality would be tolerated at any level.
Focus on Speeding Up Infrastructure and Development Projects
The Chief Minister said that the government has further intensified administrative monitoring to ensure faster execution of developmental and infrastructure projects across Haryana.
Officers further apprised the Chief Minister that construction work on the International Convention Centre in Sector-78, Faridabad, being developed at a cost of Rs. 378.90 crore, has achieved nearly 50 percent physical progress. The project is expected to be completed by February 2027.
Under the education and horticulture sector, the Chief Minister also reviewed the construction of the Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU) campus in Karnal, which is being developed at a cost of Rs. 422.54 crore. Officers further apprised that the project has progressed up to 43 percent completion.
Approval Granted for Ethanol Plant at Panipat Sugar Mill
Officers further apprised the Chief Minister that approval has been granted for setting up a new 90 KLPD capacity multi-feed ethanol plant at Panipat Sugar Mills under the Cooperation Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 200 crore. The proposal is now being sent to the High-Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) for finalisation of the tender process. Officers shared that the project is likely to be completed during the financial year 2027-28.
Push for Modernisation of Fire Services and Disaster Management
The Chief Minister was also informed that, as part of efforts to modernise fire services, the land registration process for the proposed Fire Training Centre at Khedi Masania in Jind has been completed. The centre will be developed at a cost of Rs. 100 crore. In addition, an amount of Rs. 2 crore has already been transferred to PWD (B&R) for preparation of the project’s drawings and designs.
To further strengthen disaster management capabilities, officials informed that after approval, the revised Request for Proposal (RFP) for procurement of a 104-metre aerial ladder platform costing Rs. 120 crore has been submitted to the government.
The Chief Minister made it clear that strict adherence to prescribed rules and timelines in all projects is mandatory and any delay at any stage would be viewed seriously.
CM Reviews National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS
In line with the government’s focus on youth empowerment and employment generation, the Chief Minister also reviewed the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
During the meeting, he directed officers to increase the number of district-level job fairs across the state and ensure that they are organised regularly in a result-oriented manner so that maximum youth can be connected with industries and institutions.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for better coordination and active participation among the departments of Technical Education, Higher Education, Industrial Training and Employment to create greater skill-based employment opportunities for the youth.
He emphasised that tangible outcomes in employment generation should be visible every month and directed departments to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of schemes aimed at connecting youth with jobs.

Chairing a high-level review meeting on the Transport Department’s five-year roadmap and action plan under Haryana Vision-2047 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the government envisions a transport network where no village in the state remains deprived of bus services within the next one year.
Reviewing future transport requirements, emerging technologies and infrastructure plans, Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that efficient management and strategic planning can significantly enhance public transport accessibility while addressing the shortage of buses.
He said that while the population in nearly 6,500 villages and urban areas of Haryana has increased substantially over the years, the expansion of public transport services has not kept pace with growing demand. Directing officers to redesign the state’s transport network in line with present and future requirements, he said enhanced connectivity would especially benefit students, women and working professionals, encouraging them to shift from private vehicles to public transport.
The Chief Minister also suggested developing cluster-based transport connectivity by linking nearby villages through circular bus routes. If required, the existing policy framework could also be amended for this purpose. The government aims to transform the Transport Department in such a way that within a year, it can confidently state that not a single village in Haryana remains unconnected by bus service, said Nayab Singh Saini.
Push for stronger city bus networks
Highlighting the need to revive and strengthen intra-city public transport, the Chief Minister said that local bus services within cities have declined considerably over time despite rapid urban expansion. As a result, workers commuting to industrial hubs located on city outskirts are increasingly dependent on private vehicles.
He directed officers to ensure city bus connectivity to major hospitals, educational institutions and religious places in all urban centres. Special bus services should also be introduced for industrial workers in cities such as Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat. In addition, mini buses should be operated to improve connectivity between metro stations and bus stands, said Nayab Singh Saini.
Haryana buses to get real-time tracking system
The Chief Minister directed that all buses in Haryana be integrated with a real-time tracking system on the lines of the Indian Railways, enabling passengers to monitor bus locations and arrival timings through a mobile application.
He said every bus should display live location data immediately after leaving the depot. To further strengthen passenger safety, particularly for women, he directed officers to install CCTV cameras in buses linked to a central control room and equip buses with panic buttons for emergency situations, said Nayab Singh Saini.
10 new electric bus stands to come up within a year
Reiterating the government’s commitment towards green mobility, Nayab Singh Saini said the Transport Department should prioritise the procurement of electric buses in the coming years and simultaneously create a robust charging infrastructure across the state.
He said that 10 new electric bus stands would be developed within the next one year. Charging points would be installed at designated bus bays so that electric buses can be charged while passengers board and ticketing operations are carried out, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister further directed that electric buses be introduced extensively across districts and cities, while charging stations should also be developed under the PPP model in more regions of the state. Rooftop solar systems would also be installed at all bus stands to enhance renewable energy generation, he said.
20 lakh more Happy Cards to be distributed
Reviewing the Happy Card Scheme, the Chief Minister said nearly 20 lakh beneficiaries have already been issued Happy Cards, while another 20 lakh eligible persons would soon receive the facility. He issued necessary directions regarding the smooth distribution of the new cards.
He also reviewed the functioning of IT-enabled Smart Driving Training Institutes established for training drivers of private and commercial vehicles. Stressing the need for transparency and efficiency, he directed that the manual vehicle fitness certification process be replaced with a fully automated system in accordance with the latest Government of India norms. He further instructed officials to reduce waiting time for vehicle fitness approvals.
Haryana leads country with 26 vehicle scrapping centres
The Chief Minister said Haryana currently has 26 vehicle scrapping centres, the highest in the country. Under the Centre’s policy, vehicle owners are being provided an incentive of Rs 15,000 per vehicle for scrapping old vehicles through authorised centres.
He said Haryana is expected to receive the highest incentive allocation of Rs 160 crore from the Central Government under the initiative. To further promote energy conservation and scientific disposal of old vehicles, he directed officials to establish additional scrapping centres in border districts so that vehicle owners from neighbouring states can also avail the facility, said Nayab Singh Saini.
Automated number plate cameras to identify vehicles without PUC certificates
Taking serious note of vehicular pollution, the Chief Minister directed officials to tighten enforcement against vehicles operating without valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates.
He said automatic number plate recognition cameras should be installed at all petrol pumps across Haryana to identify vehicles lacking valid PUC certificates. Such vehicles would not be supplied petrol or diesel, said Nayab Singh Saini.
Officers apprised the Chief Minister that the project is already underway and the first phase covering all NCR districts would be completed by September 30.
Unified Command and Control Centre for bus monitoring
The Chief Minister also directed that a state-level Unified Command and Control Centre be established this year for integrated monitoring of all government and private buses operating in Haryana.
He further directed the officers to modernise bus stands across the state in line with future requirements. New bus terminals equipped with modern facilities, including STP and ETP systems, would be developed wherever required, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

MoU to be signed between Health Department and Medanta Foundation
Haryana Health Minister, Arti Singh Rao, has announced an important initiative to improve healthcare services in the state’s rural areas. She said the Haryana Health Department will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medanta Hospital through the Medanta Foundation.
She said that the main aim of this partnership is to upgrade and strengthen Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services at Sub-District Hospital Ateli and Community Health Centres (CHCs) at Farrukhnagar and Mirpur.
According to the Health Minister, the entire partnership will work under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Under this collaboration, labour rooms and C-section operation theatre facilities will be modernised. Neonatal care, advanced diagnostic services and ambulance support will also be ensured. Special focus will also be given to skill development and capacity building of healthcare staff.
The Health Minister said that the MoU has initially been proposed for a period of three years. The duration can be extended further based on mutual agreement and satisfactory performance by both sides.
Arti Singh Rao expressed hope that soon after the signing of the MoU, quality maternal and child healthcare services in the Ateli region will improve significantly, while similar improvements will be seen at the CHCs in Farrukhnagar and Mirpur within six months. She said this step will prove to be a milestone in strengthening secondary healthcare delivery in backward areas of the state.

Haryana Education Minister, Mahipal Dhanda said that the marksheets of meritorious students are not merely pieces of paper carrying marks, but living proof of their hard work, the sacrifices made by their parents, and the selfless guidance of their teachers.
The Education Minister was addressing a felicitation ceremony held at Shiksha Sadan, Panchkula, for meritorious students of government schools who excelled in the Class 10 and 12 examinations conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana and Central Board of Secondary Education. A total of 22 students were honoured during the programme. Students securing first, second and third positions were awarded cash prizes of Rs 11,000, Rs 8,100 and Rs 5,100 respectively.
Entire Haryana proud of students’ achievements
Congratulating the students, Mahipal Dhanda said that the occasion was a matter of immense pride and joy for him not only as a minister but also as a parent. He said the entire state of Haryana feels proud of the outstanding achievements of these students.
Giving significant credit for the students’ success to parents and teachers, he said that while children stayed awake preparing for examinations, parents too remained awake, praying and working for their children’s bright future.
Every child to receive modern and quality education
Reiterating the government’s commitment, the Education Minister said that the sole objective of the present government is to provide every child in Haryana with modern, high-quality education at par with global standards.
He said that under the National Education Policy, educational infrastructure across the state is being continuously strengthened so that even children living in the remotest villages get equal and better opportunities to progress. Haryana’s youth possess immense talent, and the government’s responsibility is to channelise their energy in the right direction, he added.
Success is a milestone, not the final destination
The Education Minister said that success in examinations is only one milestone in life’s journey and not the final destination. He stated that challenges ahead would be even greater, but expressed confidence that the students’ dedication and determination would help them succeed in every field.
He urged students to use education not merely for personal career growth, but also for contributing towards nation-building and social development, adding that both the state and the country have high expectations from the youth.
Students scoring less marks should not feel disappointed
Mahipal Dhanda also encouraged students who could not secure expected marks, saying there is absolutely no need to feel disheartened. Examination scores alone cannot decide the course of one’s life, he said.
He added that failure only indicates that success requires greater effort and commitment. Advising students to identify their shortcomings and rise again with double the determination, he said the future would certainly belong to those who persevere.
The Education Minister extended his best wishes to all meritorious students and encouraged them to continue bringing laurels to Haryana.

The state government has launched an aggressive execution-driven campaign to fast-track hospital infrastructure projects, strengthen monitoring mechanisms and modernise healthcare planning across the state. The initiative marks a significant shift from routine project reviews to strict accountability-based implementation aimed at ensuring timely delivery of critical healthcare infrastructure and improved patient services.
For FY 2026–27, the Haryana Government has made a massive budgetary provision of Rs. 815 crore under State Budget Head for major healthcare infrastructure projects, marking an unprecedented increase of nearly 288 percent compared to the Rs. 210 crore allocated during FY 2025–26. Demonstrating the government’s strong execution-focused approach, Rs. 203.75 crore has already been released to PWD B&R during the very first quarter of the current financial year to accelerate construction activities across the state. In comparison, during FY 2025–26, approximately Rs. 210 crore had been transferred to PWD B&R for healthcare construction works.
Chairing a high-level review meeting of ongoing health infrastructure projects, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Sumita Misra directed all concerned departments to adhere strictly to revised timelines and warned that further delays in healthcare projects would not be tolerated. The review covered a broad range of healthcare institutions including Sub-Health Centres, Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres, District Civil Hospitals, Mother and Child Health (MCH) buildings, Critical Care Blocks, TB Centres and specialised shelter facilities.
Taking a tough stand on delayed works, the government directed the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) to fix responsibility in cases where projects have suffered prolonged delays. Specific instructions were issued to expedite pending works at several major healthcare institutions across Haryana.
Among key projects under accelerated execution is the 100 to 200 bedded expansion block at Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantt, where the remaining work has now been re-allotted and construction is underway with a completion target of February 2027. Residential accommodation works for hospital staff in Ambala have been ordered to be completed by May 30, 2027. At CHC Siwani in Bhiwani district, directions were issued to identify accountability for delays and complete the remaining work on priority.
In Gurugram district, officers were directed to jointly inspect the Sub Divisional Hospital, Farrukhnagar and ensure completion of all pending works within one month for immediate handover to the Health Department. Similarly, the upgradation of Civil Hospital Sector-10, Gurugram from 100 to 200 beds is progressing under a fixed completion schedule ending March 2027.
Major expansion projects are also being closely monitored in Hisar and Mahendragarh districts. At Narnaund in Hisar, authorities have been instructed to complete and hand over the ground and first floors of the upgraded 100-bedded hospital by June 15, 2026, while the entire project is targeted for completion by September 2026. In Mahendragarh, the expansion of the existing 50-bedded hospital into a 100-bedded facility is under active review, with the government seeking faster financial clearances and responses on pending estimates.
In Palwal district, revised timelines have been fixed for the completion of CHC Hassanpur and CHC Mandkola projects, while in Rewari, the Health Department has sought detailed clarifications regarding escalation in project costs and action taken against contractors for delays in the PHC Akera project with residential quarters.
In another major reform initiative, Haryana has introduced Third Party Quality Assurance mechanisms through the Quality Assurance Authority (QAA) & PWD B&R Haryana for all new healthcare infrastructure projects. Independent audits and regular reporting systems will now monitor project quality and transparency to ensure higher construction standards.
To further strengthen institutional oversight, the government has designated a dedicated nodal officer for health infrastructure projects to improve coordination and facilitate quicker resolution of project-related bottlenecks.
The review also placed strong emphasis on improving patient convenience and service quality in district hospitals. All CMOs and PMOs have been directed to conduct joint inspections of renovation works along with PWD engineers every fifteen days and submit reports to State Headquarters regularly.
Special focus areas identified for immediate improvement include cleanliness of hospital premises, functional toilets, uninterrupted drinking water supply, fully operational air-conditioning systems and reliable DG power backup arrangements. Taking note of repeated thefts of expensive bathroom fittings in hospitals, the government has also decided to install durable high-quality plastic taps in public areas to minimize recurring losses and maintenance issues.
The review meeting also examined delayed works in Karnal district, where PWD B&R has been directed to submit detailed reports regarding reasons for delays and corrective action taken. Further directions were issued for approval of estimates for residential quarters at PHCs wherever construction has already commenced.
The government has also taken serious note of stalled works linked to contractor disputes. In the upgradation project of Civil Hospital Narnaul from 100 to 200 beds, officers were instructed to remove all contractor machinery and material lying within the campus within the next 15 to 20 days to prevent obstruction and facilitate further action.
As part of Haryana’s long-term healthcare vision, Dr. Misra directed that specialised private consultants with expertise in hospital planning, civil engineering and healthcare infrastructure design be engaged for upcoming projects, especially Critical Care Blocks under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. This initiative will create technologically advanced, patient-friendly and future-ready healthcare institutions aligned with modern healthcare standards.

The state government is simultaneously accelerating work on Maternal and Child Health (MCH) projects. At Panchkula, the Principal Medical Officer has been directed to complete all pending works within 15 days and hand over the building for occupancy. Similarly, the newly constructed MCH Panipat has been ordered to be completed and handed over within one month.
