
Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini has directed all departments to upload their five-year roadmaps and action plans under Haryana Vision-2047 on the specially developed AI-based platform so that he can personally undertake a comprehensive review of the plans and their implementation.
The Chief Minister issued these directions while chairing a review meeting on the five-year roadmap and action plan of the Haryana Police Housing Corporation under Haryana Vision-2047 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat on Thursday.
During the meeting, he further directed the Haryana Police Housing Corporation to prepare a comprehensive plan for constructing an adequate number of high-quality residential units for police personnel across the state.
Nayab Singh Saini said that the five-year action plans of all departments would be uploaded on the AI platform and reviewed systematically to align every department with the vision of a Viksit Bharat, drawing inspiration from global best practices adopted by developed nations.
The Chief Minister further directed departments to submit not only their annual action plans but also detailed quarterly timelines outlining the activities to be undertaken for achieving their targets. He said that departmental progress would be reviewed on a quarterly basis and that compliance with directions issued during previous review meetings would also be closely monitored.
Emphasising accountability and preparedness, the Chief Minister directed all departments to submit their progress reports at least two days before the scheduled review meetings so that the reports could be examined in advance for a more effective and result-oriented assessment.
Managing Director of the Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Alok Mittal, informed that since its establishment in 1989, the Corporation has constructed 12,683 residential units for police personnel, 165 police stations, 21 police posts, 26 women police stations, 13 police lines, 3 police training centres, 21 police public schools, and around 400 other non-residential buildings.
The Chief Minister directed the Corporation to ensure that police stations, police lines and training centres are equipped with modern facilities and resources. He stressed that the highest standards of quality must be maintained in all projects.
Reviewing the status of existing infrastructure, Nayab Singh Saini also directed that all upcoming buildings should be designed as energy-efficient and green buildings, incorporating international standards and sustainable construction practices.

Complete Widening of all 12-Foot-Wide Roads to 18 Feet by March 2027 directs CM

Chandigarh, June 4- Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini has directed that the work of widening all 12-foot-wide roads in the state to 18 feet must be completed by March 2027.
The Chief Minister issued these directions while chairing a review meeting of the five-year roadmap and action plan of the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) under Haryana Vision-2047 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat on Thursday.
He said that well-maintained roads of adequate width are essential for ensuring convenience and safe mobility for the public. In line with the earlier announcement made by the Chief Minister, directed that the width of all 12-foot-wide roads in the state be increased to 18 feet and that the work be completed before the end of the current financial year.
Reviewing the progress of the project, departmental officers informed the Chief Minister that Haryana currently has 3,240 kilometres of 12-foot-wide link roads that are being widened to 18 feet. Of these, widening work on 1,696 kilometres is presently underway, while the remaining 1,544 kilometres will also be widened during the current year.
The Chief Minister further directed the department to ensure high construction quality and provide proper road signage, berms and road markings, including white edge lines, on all roads.
Measures to Reduce Dust and Pollution in Urban Areas must be ensured-CM
Nayab Singh Saini said that to reduce dust, heat and pollution in urban areas, paver blocks or green grass should be developed along roadsides. Officers informed that, in the first phase, 138 roads covering a total length of 368 kilometres across six urban centres have been identified for the project.
Under this initiative, roadside tiling and green belts will be developed in Sonipat, Faridabad, Gurugram, Panipat, Rohtak and Karnal districts. The Chief Minister said that this work must be completed by November 2027.
Meanwhile, reviewing ongoing efforts to eliminate manned railway crossings and improve road connectivity, officers informed that the work is being undertaken through various departments in coordination with the Railways. However, some projects remain pending due to the non-availability of approvals from the Railway authorities.
The Chief Minister directed officers to prepare a list of all such pending cases and said that he would personally take up the matter with the Union Railway Minister to remove the bottlenecks. He also directed the department to complete all works falling within its own jurisdiction on a priority basis.
CM Reviews Bypass Projects
The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of bypass projects being undertaken across the state for the convenience of commuters. Officers apprised him that out of 17 bypasses under construction, work on four has already been completed, while construction is in progress on several others. In some cases, land availability remains a challenge.
The Chief Minister directed officers to expedite land acquisition through the concerned Deputy Commissioners and ensure timely completion of these projects. He also asked the department to prepare a proposal for constructing a road for light vehicles beneath the elevated track in Kurukshetra.
Solar Panels on Every Building by 2028
The Chief Minister directed officers to prepare a comprehensive plan for installing solar panels on all government buildings, warehouses, Market Committee sheds and residential houses across the state so that Haryana can significantly reduce its dependence on purchasing electricity from outside sources.
He said that by 2028, no building in the state should remain without a solar panel installation. To achieve this objective, assistance should be taken from Central and State Government schemes as well as private sector participation. He further stated that, in addition to Central Government incentives, the State Government would also provide separate subsidies to encourage public participation.
The Chief Minister also directed officers to formulate an attractive scheme for installation of solar panels in industrial units and to make necessary amendments to building regulations and codes wherever required.
EV Charging Station Every 50 Kilometres
Nayab Singh Saini directed that all newly constructed government buildings should include provisions for electric vehicle charging stations, noting that financial assistance for such facilities is available from the Central Government.
He further stated that at least one EV charging station should be available within every 50-kilometre radius across the state to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles among citizens.
The Chief Minister also directed officers to prepare an action plan for installing rainwater harvesting systems in all buildings.
New Rest Houses to be Developed in Districts
Reviewing the proposal for construction of new rest houses in Kurukshetra and other districts, the Chief Minister said that foundation stones for the new rest houses would be laid simultaneously across the state on August 15. He informed that a new state-of-the-art rest house equipped with modern amenities would be constructed in Kurukshetra at a cost of Rs 78 crore.
The Chief Minister also issued detailed directions regarding the implementation of various other departmental initiatives and development projects.

Housing Facilities to be provided to all Eligible Families in the State- Chief Minister

Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that providing every resident of the state with a roof over their head is among the government’s top priorities and that both the Central and State Governments are implementing this objective in mission mode. He directed the Housing for All Department to identify all remaining eligible families and prepare a comprehensive action plan to provide them with housing facilities.
The Chief Minister issued these directions while chairing a review meeting of the Housing for All Department’s five-year roadmap and action plan under Haryana Vision-2047 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat on Thursday.
He emphasized that strict action would be taken against the concerned officers and employees if any ineligible individual or family is found to have been granted benefits under the housing schemes.
Director General, Housing for All, J. Ganesan, made a detailed presentation on the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0, and the distribution of Economically Weaker Section housing units in licensed colonies.
He informed that in accordance with the Chief Minister’s directions, the department is preparing a roadmap to extend housing benefits to all remaining eligible families in the coming period.
J. Ganesan further stated that under these five schemes, financial assistance amounting to approximately Rs 2,375 crore has so far been provided for facilitating housing to 2,31,215 families across the state.
In addition, 10,649 plots and flats are ready for allotment. The Chief Minister directed the department to expedite the allotment process so that these plots and flats can be provided to eligible beneficiaries at the earliest.
The Chief Minister said that while the government’s objective is to ensure that every eligible family receives housing support with government assistance, it is equally important to prevent misuse of welfare schemes.
He directed that the lists of all beneficiaries be displayed publicly in Gram Panchayats to enable verification and ensure transparency regarding the eligibility of recipients. He said that if it is established that benefits have been extended to ineligible persons, strict action will be taken against the officers and employees responsible.
The Chief Minister also directed officers to provide concessions in registration fees for economically weaker families belonging to nomadic communities so that they may also benefit from housing schemes.

Shahpur Land Registered for Establishment of Driving Training & Research Institute and Automated Vehicle Testing Station: Transport Minister

Haryana Transport Minister, Anil Vij said that over 11 acres of land at Shahpur, Ambala Cantonment, has been officially registered in the name of the Transport Department for the establishment of a Driving Training & Research Institute (IDTR) and an Automated Vehicle Testing Station (ATS). He further informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a major transport company, Ashok Leyland, is likely to be signed within the next week.
Anil Vij said that aspiring drivers often had to travel long distances to receive mandatory training required for obtaining driving licences. To address this issue, the government has initiated the establishment of a modern Driving Training & Research Institute in Ambala Cantonment. More than 11 acres of land have been identified and registered for this purpose at Shahpur.He added that vehicle fitness testing will also be carried out at the same location using advanced automated systems. This will significantly improve road safety and provide substantial benefits to people from Ambala and surrounding districts.
The Transport Minister stated that following the registration of the land, the establishment of the Driving Training & Research Institute and Automated Vehicle Testing Station will be expedited.
Anil Vij further said that the project will create hundreds of direct and indirect employment opportunities. The institute will help thousands of young people from nearby districts enhance their driving skills and professional competencies through advanced training programs. In addition, the Automated Vehicle Testing Station will be capable of conducting fitness inspections of approximately 300 vehicles per week.
He emphasized that the Haryana Government is committed to making transport services more efficient, accessible, and technology-driven. Continuous efforts are being made to provide citizens with modern transport-related facilities and services through the adoption of advanced technologies.

In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of clean and self-reliant energy, the Government of India launched the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana on February 13, 2024. By implementing this ambitious scheme effectively, Haryana has achieved a remarkable milestone at the national level and has today received three prestigious awards.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has set a target of installing rooftop solar systems on 2.22 lakh households by March 31, 2027. To accelerate this objective and promote solar energy among the masses, several impactful initiatives, including the Solar Energy Promotion Scheme, have been undertaken under the guidance of the state’s popular Energy Minister Anil Vij. Vij has consistently reviewed the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and provided necessary guidance and directions to the concerned officials to ensure its effective execution.
As a result of these sustained efforts, Haryana was honoured in three different categories during the national event titled “Two Years of PM Surya Ghar – Expanding Solar Energy to One Crore Rooftops”, organized today in New Delhi by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.
The awards were presented by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi, to Vikram Singh, Special Secretary (Energy), Government of Haryana, and Managing Director of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN). Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, along with other senior ministry officials, was also present on the occasion.
Based on its outstanding performance during the “Month of Solar” Campaign held in May 2026, Haryana was selected for the prestigious PM Surya Ghar Excellence Award. The state received recognition in the following categories, in which Third Position in Maximum Consumer Applications with 17,142 applications, Second Position in Maximum Solar Installations with 11,983 installations and Third Position in Maximum DISCOM Inspections (UHBVN & DHBVN) with 12,514 inspections.
This achievement is the result of the visionary leadership of the Haryana Government and the dedicated efforts of the Energy Department, the State Nodal Agency, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), field-level officers and employees, and implementation partners working collectively towards the successful execution of the scheme.The Energy Minister expressed confidence that Haryana will continue to achieve similar success in the field of solar energy and make a significant contribution towards the national goals of energy self-reliance, renewable energy expansion, and green development.
State-Level World Environment Day Function to be Held in Gurugram

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the state-level function will be held in Gurugram on June 5, in which Union Minister for Housing, Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal will attend as the Chief Guest, while Haryana Forest, Environment and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh will be present as a special guest. The event will showcase various initiatives related to environmental conservation, cleanliness, waste management, and green development.
A government spokesperson informed that Union Minister Manohar Lal will inaugurate the bioremediation pilot project and launch new initiatives related to environmental protection. A plantation drive will also be organized on the occasion, aimed at increasing green cover and spreading the message of environmental conservation.
It is noteworthy that the theme of this year’s World Environment Day is “Nature-Inspired Solutions for Our Climate and Our Future.” The theme conveys a message of addressing the challenges of climate change, conserving natural resources, promoting biodiversity, and encouraging sustainable development.

This is the true essence of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” he remarked.
Highlighting the strong bond between Haryana and Tripura, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh said that although the two States are geographically distant, they are united by a shared legacy of courage, resilience and patriotism. He described Tripura as a land of scenic beauty, vibrant tribal traditions and warm hospitality, while Haryana stands tall as the land of brave soldiers, accomplished sportspersons, hardworking farmers and the sacred soil of the Bhagavad Gita. Together, he said, the two States reflect the diversity, unity and strength that define Bharat.
The Governor also interacted with the students and shared his experiences of visiting Tripura. He expressed confidence that the youth of Tripura would effectively harness the State’s vast natural and human resources to accelerate its development and contribute significantly to the nation’s growth in the years ahead.

New Job-oriented courses to be introduced in government Polytechnics institutes across the state- Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda
Haryana School Education and Higher Education Minister, Mahipal Dhanda said that the state government has taken a major step to create new employment opportunities for youth and modernise technical education in Haryana. From the academic session 2026-27, several new industry-oriented diploma and technical courses will be introduced in various Government Polytechnic Institutes across the state.
The Education Minister said that the Technical Education Department has designed these courses in line with the current and future requirements of industries, emerging technologies, and skill-based employment opportunities. He said that in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, it is essential to equip youth with skills that enhance their employability and prepare them for future careers.
He informed that the new courses to be introduced include Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology), Cyber Forensics and Information Security, Telecommunication Engineering, Artificer Training (Electrical), Environmental Engineering, Geo-Informatics and Survey Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electric Vehicle Technology, Technician X-Ray Technology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sugar Technology, and Apparel Design and Fashion Technology.
Mahipal Dhanda said that each of these courses will have an intake capacity of 60 students. The primary objective of these programmes is to provide students with practical and job-oriented education in advanced technologies, digital security, green technologies, healthcare services, electric mobility, and other specialised industrial sectors.
He said that this initiative is in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) and the requirements of Industry 4.0. It will play a significant role in strengthening technical education in the state. He added that the effort will not only enhance the employability of youth but also help develop a skilled and qualified workforce within Haryana to meet the growing needs of various industries.
