Two arrested under NDPS Act
Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Vikas Kumar R/o # 21, VPO Shinga Devi, Nawa Gram, Distt. Mohali, (PB) near light point, Sector 14/15, Chandigarh and recovered 30 injections of Buprenorphine and Pheniramine Maleate drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 258, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Parminder Singh R/o # 1087, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh near Power House, Manimajra to Kishangarh Road, Chandigarh and recovered 210 Gm Charas from his possession. A case FIR No. 142, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Special drive against consuming liquor at public place
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out by Police Station Sector 39, Chandigarh. Under this drive total 5 different cases U/S 68-1-14 Excise Act have been registered in police station Sector 9, Chandigarh in which total 5 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out.
Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Amit R/o H.No-995, DMC, Chandigarh from near his residence and recovered 18 bottles, 10 halves and 24 Quarters of English wine from his possession. A case FIR No. 176, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for Robbery
Mohd. Amir R/o # 421/1, Village Maloya, Chandigarh alleged that two unknown person forcibly entered in complainants shop and robbed away complainants mobile phone on knife point on 10-09-2017. A case FIR No. 179, U/S 392, 452, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later accused Sunny Kumar R/o # 4378 Maloya Colony has been arrested and mobile phone recovered from him. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Baby Found
A Case FIR No. 177, U/S 317 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh against unknown lady and gents who left newly born baby in dustbin at Maloya, Chandigarh on 10.09.2017. Child has been admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 178, U/S 279, 337 added 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the statement of Sanjeev R/o # 130, Village Maloya, Chandigarh against driver of Punjab Roadways Bus due to whom negligence a passenger namely Gurwinder Singh R/o # 6816, Naya Nagar, Ludhiana (PB) fell down from bus near paddy mandi Chowk, Chandigarh on10.09.2017. He got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital, Phase-6, Mohali, (PB) and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh, where he expired. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Tarun Kumar Baneraji R/o H.No-240/C, Sector-51/A, Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen away his Cycle from near Japani Garden, Sector-31, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 285, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
