Amrit Lal Lubana produced a scintillating all-round performance as Royal Titans piled up the highest total of the 4th Omaxe Chandigarh Premier League 2026 so far and registered a commanding 36-run victory over Rock Garden Warriors at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula on Thursday.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Royal Titans posted a mammoth 215 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings was anchored brilliantly by Amrit Lubana, who remained unbeaten on 79 off just 45 deliveries by smashing 11 boundaries and two sixes. Lubana received excellent support from Markanday Panchal (37) and Sanchit Sahu (23).
Facing a daunting target of 216, Rock Garden Warriors began positively with skipper Aarush Bhandari leading from the front as he struck a brisk 39 off 22 balls, while Prashant Ahlawat added 32. However, the Warriors kept losing wickets at regular intervals and struggled to build substantial partnerships. Abhishek Singh provided some late entertainment with a blistering 57 off 27 balls but his effort came too late to threaten the Titans’ dominance and collapsed at 179. Ivraj Ranauta emerged as the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of 3 for 22 from his four overs.
Meanwhile, Wednesday’s night Manan Vohra’s form continued as the HIIMS Hawks registered their second consecutive victory by defeating Tricity Bashers by 17 runs at the same venue. Leading from the front, skipper Manan Vohra followed up his century in the previous match with a brisk 59 off 34 balls and set the tone for Hawks’ imposing total of 202 for 5. Nikhil Thakur matched Vohra’s aggression with a splendid 76 while Pratham Singh chipped in with a quickfire 33. In reply, Tricity Bashers fought hard through Hardik Chowdhry’s 76 but fell short at 185 for 8. Ishaan Garg claimed three crucial wickets for the winning side
