
The 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog was held on Thursday at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with Chief Ministers from other states, participated in the meeting. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister emphasized that the goal of a Viksit Bharat can be achieved only when the Centre and the States work together in the spirit of “Team India.” He stressed the need to focus on skill development, employment generation, entrepreneurship, and human resource development.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presented several demands related to Haryana’s development. He urged the Central Government to include Haryana among the first 50 industrial parks to be developed under its ambitious industrial development scheme. He also sought a special incentive package to develop Haryana as a semiconductor, data centre, and electronics manufacturing hub. Further, he requested the establishment of a national-level AI Centre of Excellence in Haryana and a special Central package for the development of AI and Global Capability Centre (GCC) hubs. He also sought additional Central assistance for Industrial Model Townships, sector-specific industrial parks, green hydrogen projects, and renewable energy initiatives. He emphasized the need to accord priority to Haryana under the National Innovation and Research Fund.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the meeting was taking place at a time when India, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, is moving rapidly towards the goal of Viksit Bharat-2047 during the Amrit Kaal period. He said that over the last 12 years, a new India has emerged. The decisive decisions taken by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi during challenging situations in the Middle East have demonstrated India’s growing strength on the global stage.
He further stated that Haryana has prepared its Vision Document-2047 in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat-2047. The state’s goal is to contribute more than $1 trillion to the Indian economy by 2047 and raise per capita income to over ₹40 lakh.
Haryana First to Implement the National Education Policy
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the foundation for developing human capital was laid through the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 introduced by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. Haryana became the first state in the country to implement the policy.
To boost school enrolment and awareness about early education, the state organized 17,859 School Readiness Fairs, in which over 2 lakh children and 2.5 lakh parents participated. The Super-100 Scheme, launched in 2018, has been highly successful in helping meritorious students gain admission to premier higher education institutions. Over the last five years, 267 students under the scheme have secured admission to IITs, NITs, and medical colleges.
To ensure quality education in government schools, Haryana has established 250 PM SHRI Schools and 218 Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools. Taking this initiative further, the state government has set up 250 CM EEE (Chief Minister Efficiency and Early English) Schools this year.
Providing higher education opportunities to girls remains a key priority. To achieve this, the state has ensured the establishment of a college within every 20-kilometre radius. Currently, 61 women’s colleges are functioning in Haryana.
For effective implementation of NEP-2020 in higher education institutions, the state has launched the NEEV Portal, connecting all 187 colleges and 47 universities across Haryana.
Haryana Leads in Implementation of the National Apprenticeship Programme
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that Haryana ranks first in the country in the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Programme. The state has 1,520 apprentices per lakh population, the highest in India. For this achievement, Haryana has been honoured with the Champion of Change Award.
He said that the Dual System of Training Scheme, an important initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, is being effectively implemented in Haryana. Around 20 percent of ITI seats have been converted under the dual training system, and nearly 11,000 students are currently receiving training. More than 70 percent of the trainees under the scheme are securing employment.
Under the PM SETU Scheme, 21 ITIs have been identified across four clusters, with an investment of ₹241 crore per cluster.
Haryana: The Powerhouse of Indian Sports
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana is widely recognized as the powerhouse of sports in India. Inspired by the Prime Minister’s Khelo India vision, the state is working rapidly to transform sports into a mass movement.
He noted with pride that all 18 wrestlers selected for the Indian wrestling team for the Asian Games 2026 belong to Haryana. The state has formulated policies to nurture such talent from an early age. Haryana is also preparing extensively for the Olympics 2036, for which the Mission Olympic-2036 Vijayi Bhav Scheme has been formulated.
Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the true value of human capital can only be realized when opportunities are available. Keeping this in view, the state has launched the Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026 along with nine new sector-specific policies.
The government aims to attract ₹5 lakh crore in investment and generate 10 lakh new jobs over the next five years. He informed that the new industrial policies were launched on the first day of this month and, on the very same day, the state received investment proposals worth ₹1.10 lakh crore, including ₹30,000 crore in FDI projects. Plots have also been allotted to seven industries.
He emphasized that Haryana is committed to the development of human capital and is working with full seriousness to achieve this objective.
Maternal and Child Health Services to be strengthened in Haryana
Health Department and Medanta Foundation Sign MoU

A major step has been taken today towards strengthening maternal and child health services in Haryana. The State Health Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medanta Foundation – Poor and Needy Patients Welfare Trust for the upgradation and strengthening of operations at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Ateli, Mahendragarh district.
Following the signing of the MoU, Haryana Health Minister, Arti Singh Rao and Chairman and Managing Director, Medanta Foundation, Dr. Naresh Trehan, exchanged the agreement documents.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Dr. Sumita Misra; Director, Medical Education and Research, Sh. Yashendra Singh, Managing Director, Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited, Sh. Manoj Kumar, Director General, Health Services; Dr Manish Bansal, and Director, Dr Brahmdeep were also present.
Health Minister Arti Singh Rao described the MoU as a historic step for the healthcare sector in the state. Appreciating the collaboration between the Government and Medanta, she said that this partnership reflects the Government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and health outcomes in remote areas through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. She expressed confidence that the initiative would significantly improve maternal and child health indicators in the region and ensure access to quality healthcare services closer to people’s homes.
She said that under this partnership, the Ateli Health Centre is proposed to be upgraded into a 50-bed Sub-Divisional Hospital. Similar improvements will subsequently be undertaken at Meerpur in Rewari district and Farrukhnagar in Gurugram district. The primary objective of this strategic partnership is to enhance access to quality healthcare services for women, newborns, and children through improved infrastructure, specialist healthcare services, capacity building of healthcare personnel, and community outreach programmes.
Chairman, Medanta Foundation, Dr. Naresh Trehan, said that under the agreement, the Foundation will extend full support in establishing a dedicated Caesarean Section Operation Theatre at Ateli, renovating the labour room, installing ultrasound and diagnostic equipment, strengthening maternal and neonatal care services, and setting up an anaemia screening clinic.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, said that the Foundation will also ensure the availability of specialist medical manpower through an approved service provider, including gynaecologists, paediatricians, anaesthetists, and radiologists. This unique initiative will provide the local population with several critical services, including preventive and curative outpatient (OPD) care, cancer screening for women, point-of-care diagnostic testing, Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) facilities for newborns, ambulance support, and regular community health outreach camps.
She further informed that the agreement has initially been signed for a period of three years and may be extended further with mutual consent. Under this arrangement, the Health Department will provide the necessary infrastructure, utilities, medicines, laboratory and diagnostic support, while Medanta Foundation will contribute technical expertise, equipment, capacity building, and specialist healthcare services.
Arti Singh Rao expressed confidence that this collaboration would prove to be a significant milestone in the efforts to strengthen healthcare services in Haryana and ensure better health outcomes for the people of the state.
Electoral staff being trained for successful implementation of SIR-2026 in Haryana: A. Sreenivas
Toll-Free Number 1950 and help desks operational in all districts to assist citizens
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, A. Sreenivas, said that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), extensive preparations are being made in Haryana to ensure the successful, effective, transparent, and error-free implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026. He said that to facilitate the smooth conduct of this process, a special training programme is being organised from June 5 to 12, 2026, for Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Additional Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across all districts of the state.
The Chief Electoral Officer said that the primary objective of this training programme is to make the entire revision process transparent and error-free. During the training, BLOs are being provided detailed information and instructions on key aspects, including proper verification of deceased or migrated voters, efficient use of the Election Commission’s digital technologies and applications, achieving 100 percent registration by ensuring that every eligible citizen’s name is included in the electoral roll so that no eligible voter is deprived of the right to vote, and completing all assigned tasks within the timeline prescribed by the ECI with seriousness and responsibility.
He said that BLOs are the strongest link between the public and the Election Commission. They are required to establish effective communication with voters and connect every eligible citizen with this process.
He further said that to ensure complete transparency in the process, orientation workshops are also being organised in all districts for Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by various political parties. The objective of these workshops is to familiarise them with the finer details of the Special Intensive Revision, its objectives, and their role and responsibilities in the process, so that they can actively contribute to this national exercise.
A. Sreenivas said that a toll-free number, 1950, has been activated in all districts of the state for the convenience of voters and for the prompt resolution of their grievances. Besides this, special help desks have been established in the offices of all Electoral Registration Officers.
He said that voters can check their names in the electoral roll, apply for new registration (inclusion of name), and get necessary corrections or modifications made to their existing records.
The Chief Electoral Officer has directed the concerned officers to ensure that all required forms are made readily available to citizens visiting the help desks and that every election-related issue is resolved promptly on the spot.
CM Fulfils Key Promise, History of Sikh Gurus added to Class 8 Curriculum
Fulfilling a major promise made to the Sikh community and the people of Haryana, Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has ensured the inclusion of the history of Sikh Gurus and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in the Class 8 history curriculum of schools in the state. School students will now have an opportunity to learn about the sacrifices, martyrdom, ideals and enduring legacy of the Sikh Gurus as well as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
The Chief Minister during the 350th martyrdom anniversary of ‘Hind di Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji held in Haryana had announced that Sikh history, the teachings of the Gurus and their unparalleled sacrifices would be incorporated into school education so that future generations could be acquainted with this rich legacy.
The State Government has now fulfilled that commitment by formally including the subject in the curriculum.
Nayab Singh Saini said that from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, all Sikh Gurus propagated the values of humanity, equality, selfless service, compassion, brotherhood and social justice. They inspired society to rise above divisions of caste, religion and class and work for the welfare of humanity.
He said the teachings of the Sikh Gurus remain as relevant today as ever, as they continue to provide guidance for strengthening social harmony, moral values and national unity.
The Chief Minister said that the lives of the Sikh Gurus and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur are not merely the heritage of a particular community but a source of inspiration for the entire nation.
He said that inspired by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur waged a historic struggle against injustice, oppression and exploitation and played a pioneering role in securing dignity and rights for the weaker and marginalized sections of society. His life stands as a unique example of courage, leadership, patriotism and commitment to public welfare, and continues to inspire young people to walk the path of truth and justice.
Nayab Singh Saini said that at a time when there is a need to connect the younger generation with India’s glorious history and the ideals of great personalities, chapters based on the lives of the Sikh Gurus and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur will serve as a powerful source of inspiration for students. Through these lessons, students will develop a stronger sense of patriotism, service, social harmony, moral values and responsible citizenship, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government views education not merely as a means of acquiring knowledge but as a powerful instrument for character building. It is with this vision that the lives and teachings of such great personalities, who made exemplary contributions to the nation and society, are being incorporated into the school curriculum. He expressed confidence that the initiative would not only connect students with their cultural and historical heritage but also inspire them to become sensitive, aware and dedicated citizens committed to the larger interests of the nation.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further said that the Haryana Government is continuously working towards the preservation and promotion of the state’s rich cultural, spiritual and historical heritage and will continue to take meaningful steps in the future to ensure that the ideals of great saints, Gurus and national icons reach the younger generation.

Renuka Dam Project Gains Momentum, Set to Boost Water Supply for Haryana
Work on Renuka Dam progressing rapidly due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi & Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini
The Haryana Government is set to complete the Saraswati River Project soon, which is expected to be a major benefit for the state’s farmers. The government is committed to completing the project within the stipulated timeframe. In addition, construction work on the Renuka Dam is progressing swiftly, and work on the Adi Badri Dam is also expected to begin soon.
Officials of the Saraswati River Board, under the leadership of Deputy Chairman Dhuman Singh Kirmach, held a meeting at the office of Anoop Kumar Sharma, General Manager of the HPCL Dam Project Authority, to review in detail the progress of the Adi Badri Dam and Renuka Dam projects. During the meeting, officials of HPPCL agreed to initiate work on the Adi Badri Dam at the earliest. They also informed that construction of the barrage, along with the dam, would commence soon.
The Deputy Chairman stated that, under the directions of Chief Minister and Saraswati Board Chairman Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, both projects have reached the final stage of the tendering process. The government is now moving toward full implementation of these projects, which is expected to bring good news for the farmers of the state.
He further said that, due to the efforts of the Haryana Government, water availability for farmers has increased. The flow of water in the Saraswati River has brought benefits to farmers in the surrounding areas. The Saraswati River Project is part of the government’s long-term strategy, and serious efforts are being made to ensure its successful completion.

Haryana Invites Applications for 35 Positions in Newly Created Directorate of Future on Deputation Basis
The Haryana Government has invited applications from eligible government employees to fill 35 administrative, technical and support positions in the newly established Directorate of Future under the Department of Future (Bhavishya Vibhag). The recruitment will be undertaken on a deputation basis and is aimed at strengthening the operational framework of the state’s future-focused governance initiative.
In a letter issued by the department, it has been stated that to ensure the organization is staffed with experienced personnel from the outset, applications are sought from suitable officials currently serving in various government departments, boards, corporations, and public sector undertakings across the state.
The sanctioned positions include Deputy Directors, Private Secretaries, Assistant Personal Secretaries, Junior Scale Stenographers, Clerks, Drivers, Account Officers, Superintendents, Section Officers, Assistants, and support staff such as Peons, Sweepers, and Chowkidars. These posts span multiple functional pay levels and are intended to support both the administrative and operational requirements of the Directorate.
The initial period of deputation will be one year, which may be extended in accordance with Haryana Government rules or continue until regular recruitment is completed, whichever is earlier. Selected officials will continue to draw their pay and allowances from their parent departments, and their service conditions will remain governed by the applicable Haryana Civil Services rules.
Interested and eligible employees have been requested to submit their applications through the proper channel along with a service summary of the previous five years’ Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs), a No Objection Certificate (NOC), and certification that no disciplinary or vigilance proceedings are pending against them. While advance copies of applications may be sent directly via email to the Directorate of Future, final consideration will be subject to receipt of the application through the prescribed official process.
Haryana Governor announces Rs 2 Lakh Ex-Gratia for families of Rohtak fire victims
Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the tragic fire incident that occurred in the D-Park market area of Rohtak.
The devastating blaze, which engulfed several establishments in one of the city’s oldest and busiest market areas on June 9 claimed three lives and caused extensive damage to numerous shops.
Expressing profound grief over the loss of lives, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
The Governor directed the Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the losses caused by the fire and submit a detailed report at the earliest to the government. He emphasized the need for prompt action to ensure that all affected persons receive necessary assistance and support.
Prof. Ghosh further instructed the district administration to ensure free and adequate medical treatment for all injured persons at government hospitals.
Haryana to Ensure Sign Language Interpretation Support in Training Programmes for Persons with Disabilities
In a significant step towards promoting accessibility and inclusivity, the Haryana Government has initiated measures to provide sign language interpretation support during training programmes for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has issued directions to all Administrative Secretaries of the state, forwarding an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, regarding the provision of sign language interpretation support during training programmes for persons with disabilities.
According to the communication, the Centre has emphasized the need to make government training programmes more accessible for persons with hearing impairments and other communication-related disabilities.
The Office Memorandum refers to recommendations made by the Court Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) and highlights the requirement of ensuring reasonable accommodation and inclusive participation in official training programmes.
As per the instructions, all government departments and training institutions have been advised to assess the necessity of engaging sign language interpreters and other accessibility support services during training sessions involving persons with disabilities.
The communication states that sign language interpretation is recognized as a vital support mechanism for effective communication and participation of individuals with hearing disabilities. The move is aimed at ensuring equal access to capacity-building programmes, skill development initiatives and official training activities conducted by government agencies.
The Haryana Government has asked all departments to take necessary action in accordance with the directions issued by the Government of India and ensure compliance with accessibility norms during training programmes.
