Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School is organizing a NSS camp from 24 Dec 2018 to 30Dec 2018 in the school premises.
NSS volunteers participated in the camp under the able guidance of NSS incharge –Mrs. Meenu Sood and Ms. Neha Garg. There were various activities organized during these days to encourage the students to be a good citizen.
During this camp on 26Dec 2018, Mr. Rajkumar Verma , Regional Director of Youth Affairs Ministry visited the camp and motivated the students to serve the society to the best of their abilities. He also discussed with the volunteers about the NSS motto i.e “Not Me, But You” and he also asked the students to put the society before themselves. The students also performed various cultural activities and drama to inculcate the value of social service amongst themselves.
The traffic police department also visited the camp and delivered a lecture and demonstrated a presentation about the importance of safety and the precautions to be taken while driving. The NSS volunteers also visited the old age home in sector 15, Chandigarh and discussed their problems and entertained them.
This initiative was taken to inculcate the value of respect for elders among the youth and they also distributed food items and made them feel comfortable.Mr.Vikram Rana ( NSS State Liasion Officer) also visited the camp and motivated the students to serve the deprived while the students through a play highlighted the problems faced by women and girls in the society.

The prime motive of this camp was to teach the volunteers the importance of helping the needy. The Principal Mrs. Saroj Savant also motivated the students to keep serving the society in every small or big way that they can.
