BJP leader from the Amritsar North Assembly constituency, Akshay Sharma, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jalandhar on July 17 will prove to be historic for every section of Punjab. He stated that whenever the Prime Minister visits Punjab, he brings new developmental initiatives for the state, and this time too, he will dedicate and launch development projects worth crores of rupees.
Akshay Sharma said that during his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the redeveloped and modernized railway stations at Jalandhar Cantt, Mohali, Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Sri Anandpur Sahib. These stations have been equipped with world-class amenities, including modern waiting halls, free Wi-Fi, upgraded platforms, food courts, and escalators to facilitate senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and children.
He further said that several key highway projects aimed at strengthening Punjab’s infrastructure will also be inaugurated. In addition, new healthcare projects will be launched at PGIMER Chandigarh, while a multipurpose auditorium for students will be inaugurated at Panjab University.
Akshay Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit will give a fresh impetus to Punjab’s development and benefit every section of society. He added that BJP workers and the general public across Punjab are highly enthusiastic about welcoming the Prime Minister, and a large number of people are expected to attend the event.
Expressing confidence, Sharma said that on the strength of development-oriented governance and public welfare policies, the people of Punjab will support the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
